User Reviews for Honda CB Hornet (2019)
CBS the worst braking system
I bought Honda Hornet 160 R since I have used Hero Honda CD 100 and Honda Activa and was very happy with the performance. When I went to book the bike showroom people told to go with CBS braking system for an additional 9K. So I spent a total of 1 Lakh for the bike. Initially, everything was going fine I was so happy with the performance and mileage (around 50 km/ L). But then I met with an accident bike skid after on loose soil on the road, after the accident also brakes were fine. I gave my bike for service claiming insurance. It took around 1 month time for service, but after the service braking efficiency deteriorated and when I complained about the service centre they told brake cannot be tightened. I took by mike to another Honda service centre and local mechanics, everyone told the same. My 18-year-old CD 100 is having better braking than Hornet with CBS. I even changed the disc pads but the result is the same. Dear Honda if a motorcycle break cannot be fixed then on what basis are you selling this to a customer, such a pathetic experience. Is CBS a test product or proven technology?. Very disappointed with Honda. Friends, please don’t go for CBS model. Other problems are gear getting stuck on neutral while riding, petrol tank bolts are rusting.
Best Features: Mileage only
Pros: Mileage and performance
Cons: CBS braking, riding comfort
HORNET BEST ROAD FRIEND
I use it every purpose, where simply office purpose needs it to run 100 km/day. So it 45000Kms now in 2.8yrs.
Best Features: Reliability, Rough N Tough, Heavy Duty.
Pros: Overal Feel , Power, Reliability
Cons: hoping for All same but 250-350cc + X-Blades Console will give it conpleteness
Good bike
Goid bike in price, build quality, feature, comfort, control. but also have some lackings with excessories and service centre.
Best Features: Musculer tank, Big tyre and CBS.
Pros: Design, Build quality, CBS, Big Tyre, Reasonable price.
Cons: Chain loosing and Engine Heat with in short time
I have ridden the bike for 32000 kms in one year.
300-400 km trip feels like home on this bike. It looks and feels great on all moments.
Best Features: Looks
Pros: Pickup
Cons: Loose chain problem
Best but Missing some things in it
No doubt its a best value for money bike because it gives better mileage in 150cc segment bikes and build quality is fine with better handling (except quick cornering because of tall handle bar) and better Braking feature.. But being a famous brand It misses ENGINE KILL SWITCH which is extremely common and useful feature and Customers(we) wont mind spending few more money on engine kill switch :P if Honda wishes to add this feature..
Best Features: Wide rear tyre, cbs
Pros: Design, brakes, tyre, fuel economy
Cons: No engine kill switch, engine feels stressed after 60kmph, gear shift is hard, weak headlight
