Our take on this /// Verdict
The Kinetic Nova 135, launched in 2004, was a significant entry in the Indian scooter market, particularly for its time. It stood out with its 134.9cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine, producing 8.5 bhp at 6500 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. This scooter offered a unique blend of power and convenience, making it appealing for those seeking more than the standard 100cc scooters prevalent then. The Nova 135 featured a variomatic transmission, electric start, and a host of practical features like a glove box, underseat storage, and a mobile charge point. However, it had its drawbacks, such as the need for riders to bend forward to reach the handlebars and some discomfort over potholes. Despite being discontinued, the Nova 135 remains a memorable model for its innovative approach and robust performance.
Price
The Kinetic Nova 135 is no longer available in the market as it has been discontinued. However, during its time, the ex-showroom price was not explicitly mentioned in the available sources, but it would have been competitive with other scooters in its class. Typically, scooters of this caliber would have been priced around 40,000 to 50,000 ex-showroom. The on-road price would have included additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, likely pushing the total to around 50,000 to 60,000. For those considering purchasing a used Nova 135, prices would vary based on the condition and mileage of the vehicle.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 11:42 PM
The Kinetic Nova 135 offers a reasonable mileage of about 55 km per liter, which is commendable given its larger engine compared to other scooters of its time. This mileage makes it a viable option for daily commuting, balancing the need for power with fuel efficiency. However, the actual mileage can vary depending on riding conditions, maintenance, and driving habits.
