Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda Activa 125 Limited Edition Disc is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and efficient scooter in the Indian market. My experience with this scooter has been largely positive, with its smooth and powerful 124cc engine providing excellent performance, especially in city traffic. The addition of a 190mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear, along with the combi braking system, enhances safety significantly. However, some users have reported issues such as poor headlight performance and subpar shock absorbers, which Honda could improve. Overall, the Activa 125 Disc offers a great balance of performance, comfort, and features, making it a top contender in its segment.
Price
The Honda Activa 125 Limited Edition Disc is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant is around Rs. 87,429. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to approximately Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,05,000, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes it an attractive option considering the features and performance it offers. The cost is justified by the scooters reliability, good mileage, and the advanced features like fuel injection and disc brakes.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 30 August 2023 03:09 PM The Honda Activa 125, including its Premium Edition, comes with a reliable and efficient 124cc air-cooled engine, known for its reliability and refinement. The scooter also boasts sophisticated styling with chrome garnish on the front and side panels, making it look more elegant. I believe the combination of reliability and stylish design makes it a strong contender in the 125cc scooter segment.
Wednesday, 30 August 2023 06:53 AM The Activa 125 Premium Edition retains the same hardware as the standard model, including telescopic front forks and a single rear spring for suspension. It is available in both drum and disc brake variants, with the disc brake version featuring a 190mm disc brake at the front. I think the suspension and braking system provide a balanced ride and decent stopping power, though some might find the brakes lacking a bit of bite.
Wednesday, 30 August 2023 12:07 AM In terms of market positioning, the Honda Activa 125, including the Premium Edition, offers more visual mass and a slightly more powerful engine compared to the 110cc Activa. This makes it a more sensible buy for those who can afford the premium, offering better comfort and ride quality. I believe this makes it a compelling choice for those upgrading from a 110cc scooter.
Thursday, 09 December 2021 12:07 AM The Honda Activa 125 Premium Edition, launched in December 2021, features subtle styling revisions, including a black-out engine, black telescopic forks, and new decals. It also introduces two new dual-tone color options. The mechanical specifications remain unchanged, with a 124cc air-cooled engine producing 8.18bhp of power and 10.3Nm of peak torque. I believe these aesthetic tweaks make the scooter look more premium without compromising on performance.
Thursday, 09 December 2021 06:19 AM Honda 2Wheelers India has priced the Activa 125 Premium Edition starting from Rs 78,725 for the drum brake variant and Rs 82,280 for the disc brake version. This makes the Premium Edition about Rs 2,000 more expensive than the corresponding standard trims. I think the additional features and styling justifies the slight price hike, making it a good option for those looking for a bit more flair.

According to various user reviews and my own experience, this scooter can deliver an average mileage of around 47 kmpl, with some users reporting up to 57-60 kmpl in city conditions if maintained properly. Overall, the Activa 125 Disc offers excellent fuel efficiency, making it a great choice for daily commuters. Strongly advise taking a look at other scooter models

Vibhu Goel | One year ago

After purchasing the new Honda Activa 6G in February 2021, I initially thought it was a good scooter. However, after a few days of use, I started to notice some strange noises coming from the engine and the brakes seemed to be of poor quality. Additionally, it had a much worse mileage than my previous Honda Activa 3G.

Therefore, I would strongly advise taking a look at other scooter models if you are considering buying the Honda Activa 6G. I found that there are other scooters that offer better performance, better mileage, and are overall a more reliable choice.

Needs improvement

One of the most remarkable features of the Honda Activa 6G is its double hook-up design, but unfortunately it is open ended, which can be dangerous if you go over a bump. The start button with an on/off feature is an interesting addition, but it is not entirely necessary as you can simply turn the key off to shut down the engine.

I had an issue with the temporary number sticker I was removing above the petrol intake cover. Although I had closed it, it opened up and I can’t be sure if this is a genuine defect or not.

I would like to also point out that the tank size could be increased as it can get empty quite quickly when used as a daily commuter.

Performance is not up to the mark

Honda Activa 6G has a great look, with a sleek and stylish design. However, its performance is not up to the mark with a mileage of less than 40 kmpl. The cost of the bike is also quite high compared to other bikes. To improve the quality of the model, Honda should focus on improving its performance and reducing the cost of the bike. This would surely help in making the Activa 6G a better choice among the customers.

Good and Reliable..Little too Expensive

I've been riding this for last 6 month and the best part is never felt the lack of power in the time of need compared to other bikes on the road..the disc brakes are impressive and works well.the mileage could have been little better, now getting around 40 kmpl, and the head lights are a bit too shallow.

Best Features: Disc brake, wider longer seat, fresh looks with chrome finish

Pros: Riding comfort, pickup

Cons: Head light, suspension
