Hero Hunk 150

About
The Hero Hunk 150 is a 150cc motorcycle that stands out with its muscular design and robust build. It features an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, OHC engine that produces 14.4 PS of power and 12.8 Nm of torque. The bike is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, although the gear shifting can be rough. It has a digital speedometer and an analog RPM meter, along with features like LED tail lamps and sporty graphics. The suspension includes telescopic forks at the front and twin GRS adjustable shocks at the rear, providing good stability and control. The bike is comfortable for long rides, thanks to its upright seating and stepped seating arrangement for the pillion rider. However, its weight of 146 kg affects its agility, and the braking performance, while good, could be improved. Overall, the Hero Hunk 150 is a solid choice for those seeking a balance of style, performance, and reliability, but it has some areas that need improvement.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Hunk 150 is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and user experience. On the positive side, it offers impressive power with 14.4 PS at 8500 RPM and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM, making it one of the more powerful bikes in its segment. The bike also boasts good mileage, with users reporting around 50 kmpl, and it is known for its comfortable ride, especially for long journeys. However, the power delivery is not smooth, and there is a noticeable lag when accelerating. The gearbox is another area of concern, with rough gear shifting and pronounced vibrations beyond 3500 RPM. Additionally, the bikes weight of 146 kg makes it less agile, particularly in cornering. While it has its strengths, such as its muscular design and reliable service network, it falls short in some critical areas, making it a decent but not outstanding choice in the 150cc segment.
Price
The price of the Hero Hunk 150 in India varies depending on the location and the specific variant. As of the reviewed period, the ex-showroom price in Mumbai was around Rs. 71,893. On-road prices, including taxes and other charges, would typically be higher, with the on-road price in Mumbai being approximately Rs. 75,313. This pricing places the Hero Hunk 150 in a competitive bracket within the 150cc segment, but it may not offer the best value for money compared to some of its rivals. The cost, while reasonable, needs to be weighed against the bikes performance and feature set.
Latest Updates
Saturday, 09 November 2024 06:08 PM The new Hero Hunk 150R has been launched in India, boasting a bold and stylish design that is expected to make a significant impact in the competitive 150cc segment. The bike features a fully digital instrument cluster, which is a significant upgrade over its predecessors. This cluster includes features like speed, fuel level, and potentially even a gear position indicator. I think this digital cluster will be a game-changer for riders who value modern tech.
Thursday, 07 November 2024 07:16 AM The new Hero Hunk 150 will face stiff competition in the Indian motorcycle market, particularly from models like the Bajaj Pulsar 150. Despite this, Heros reputation for reliable and affordable bikes is likely to keep the Hunk 150 in the running. I believe the Hunks balance of price and features will help it remain a popular choice.
Thursday, 07 November 2024 02:26 PM There have been speculations about the discontinuation of the older Hero Hunk models, but with the upcoming launch of the 2024 Hero Hunk 150, it seems Hero is committed to keeping this line alive and updated. The new model promises several significant upgrades, including a more modern design and advanced features. I think this move will help Hero retain its loyal customer base.
Saturday, 21 September 2024 12:34 AM Hero MotoCorp is anticipated to launch the 2024 Hero Hunk 150 in India around October 2024, aligning with the festive season to maximize consumer interest. The bike is expected to be priced between Rs. 95,000 to Rs. 1,10,000, making it competitive in the Indian market. It may also include features like smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, although this is not yet confirmed. I believe this strategic launch timing will help Hero capture a larger market share.
Friday, 31 May 2024 01:18 PM The 2024 Hero Hunk 150 is set to feature enhanced braking capabilities, including a single-channel ABS system, a front disc brake, and either a drum or disc brake at the rear, depending on the variant. This improvement in braking technology is expected to enhance safety and performance. I think this upgrade will make the bike more appealing to safety-conscious buyers.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 08:46 PM When it comes to mileage, the Hero Hunk 150 is generally satisfactory, with claimed mileage of 55 kmpl and real-world figures ranging from 42 to 50 kmpl, depending on riding conditions. This makes it a viable option for those concerned about running costs. However, its worth noting that some users have reported a slight drop in mileage over time, especially if the bike is not properly maintained.

Best bike that you can buy on Indian roads. Good build quality, comfortable, best for city roads as well as for highways and long trips. I have travelled from Delhi to Jaipur, Delhi to Himachal Pradesh, Delhi to Utttranchal all long trips if more than 2000km, each, on this bike without any problems.

Best Features: Comfortable, reliability

Pros: Smooth engine, reliability, powerful, comfortable in city ride as well as good on long highways.

Cons: 250cc version should be made

Suspension of hunk is very poor, so from my side I wish to suggest to hero moto corp to improve its suspension quality. It has very good look , its look like fully sport bike but as it look , its don't have that much of suspension. Also it has low mileage at high speed on highways.

Best Features: LEDs, look.

Pros: I like its look.

Cons: Its suspension is very bad, its of low quality

Best Choice of My Life

I bought Hunk because of its price and mileage. Mileage was one of the most important factor for me before buying any bike. Along with this quality, Hunk also has smooth engine with adequate power in its segment and its detailed design make it stand in a crowd. In the terms of weight, it is not heavy to handle, I never face any problem in heavy traffic. Initially, it might give you poor performance but wait for 3000km you will see change yourself.

Best Features: Ease of Use and Mileage

Pros: Muscular Looks, Handling, Smooth Engine and its Performance.

Cons: No kick, Lack of enough storage

My Stylish Dream Bike

It is a stylish bike which is perfectly decorated with an attractive graphics. It has a fuel tank of 12.4 litres along with 2.2 litres reserve capacity which ensures better fuel economy. The seating position is comfortable and has good knee support. The alloy grab rail at rear is also present in which 2 adults can travel without any issue in both city and highway roads. It offers good acceleration and pickup i.e. it can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 5.08 seconds. Coming to the downside, It weighs at 147 kg which is quite bulky. Sometimes at a higher speed it produces vibrations. There is no engine kill switch in the bike. The tyres are not so wide which is also a negative point of this bike.

Best Features: Good Acceleration & Smooth Engine

Pros: Muscular looks, smooth engine, handling, good acceleration, pickup

Cons: No engine kill switch, Inadequate storage space, heavy

Hey, I rode my hh hunk FD at great speed of 135km/hr.
I am satisfied with this bike.
It's mileage is 52-55km/l better than any other 150cc bike. It has no vibration upto 85 km/hr and less noise.
I like this bike and you should go for this bike without any hesitation.

I think the previous design with silver side panels was much more appealing than this black fibre panels.
