Mitsubishi has shown little interest in reviving the Lancer EVO, despite its iconic status among car enthusiasts. The last production model, the Lancer EVO X Final Edition, was produced in 2016 with a 291-horsepower engine and 300 lb-ft of torque. I think fans of the EVO are still holding out hope for a new generation.

The Mitsubishi Lancer nameplate continues to be used in select Asian markets, but it lacks the performance and excitement of the EVO variants. The current models are produced at the Yangmei factory in Taiwan and do not match the performance heritage of the EVO. I believe Mitsubishi is missing an opportunity by not bringing back the EVO.

There have been no official announcements from Mitsubishi regarding the revival of the Lancer EVO. The concept of a new EVO has been discussed among enthusiasts, but nothing concrete has been confirmed by the company. I think the lack of news is disappointing for many fans.

The history of the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO is rich with performance and innovation, making it a beloved car among enthusiasts. However, with the last EVO X Final Edition produced in 2016, there has been a significant void in the market for a high-performance variant. I hope Mitsubishi considers bringing it back in some form.
