FAQs
-
Had the Eliminator 175 arrived ahead of its time for the Indian market?
29 January 2025 09:06I think it was just a little bit too late. But it probably would have been a runaway hit if it had come out just a few years later, when disposable incomes were higher and people had begun to think of motorcycles as more than just a means of transportation.
-
What is the legacy of Eliminator 175 on Bajaj’s current lineup?
29 January 2025 09:06What Bajaj doesn't do with the Eliminator may be more important than what it does. The implication is that they haven’t really tried to get back in to the cruiser market again as they have learned that they are better off focusing on segments where they can be market leaders.
-
Did Bajaj drop the ball by axing the Eliminator 175?
29 January 2025 09:06The Eliminator was never going to be a volume seller, let’s be real. Bajaj did a smart thing in focusing on more profitable segments. It’s a poker term largely, but sometimes you gotta know when to fold 'em.
-
Could the Eliminator 175 have become an electric cruiser?
29 January 2025 09:06I believe it might work, but it would require a complete redesign. Hiding the battery pack would be the challenge while maintaining that low slung cruiser look. However, if done right, it could appeal to cruiser fans as well as eco conscious riders.

The Bajaj Eliminator 175 is truly a ‘poor man’s Harley’?
29 January 2025 09:06I would say it was a decent entry level cruiser for the time. You won't be able to match a Harley, but it certainly gives you a taste of that cruiser riding position and style without the bank breaking. It was their first exposure to cruiser bikes for many Indians.

From where can I buy a Kawasaki Bajaj Eliminator?
02 January 2023 06:34Kawasaki Bajaj Eliminator is not available in the showrooms now, you can buy a 2nd hand bike, try contacting good mechanics or 2nd hand bike dealers in your city.

From where can I get spare parts for Kawasaki Bajaj Eliminator?
02 January 2023 06:21Kawasaki Bajaj Eliminator has been discontinued from a long time and its spare part availability in the market will be next to impossible. You can contact the nearest Bajaj showroom for assistance as they may suggest you the parts similar to your requirement from the other motorcycle models only. The clutch plate and carburetor jets of the Bajaj's other 180 cc variant may help you with your problem. You can ask an experience mechanic to check for the parts on his behalf if the Bajaj repair center has no answer to your query. The 180 cc Eliminator was more like a predecessor of Avenger.
