The company has launched an all-new variant of Discover, Bajaj Discover 100M at a press conference at their corporate office in Akurdi, Pune on October 15, 2013. This is the sixth variant of Discover and is primarily based on fuel efficiency, thus given the tagline, Mileage bikes ka naya satya on its launch.
Design and Style
Bajaj Discover 100M still looks very much like its older siblings and has an angular headlight with twin pilot lamps sitting in its bikini fairing, black colored rear view mirrors on its nicely positioned handle bar, a familiar looking instrument console, same rider controls, standard self-start, a macho looking fuel tank, comfortable seating and footrests, sharp tail light, new dual-toned decals, aluminium side steps, 1255mm of wheelbase for a stable ride, a low maintenance battery, new black finished web-spoke alloy wheels and black finished engine and stylish exhaust. The instrument console consists of an Analogue Fuel Gauge and Speedometer and a Low Fuel and Battery Indicators.
Engine and Gearbox
Bajaj Discover 100M has the same but detuned 102cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, Air-cooled, 4-valve head, corrugated fins, carburetted, DTS-i technology equipped engine with a maximum power of 9.3 bhp at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.02 Nm at 6000 rpm and has a four speed gearbox transmission. It has a top speed of 95 kmph with an ARAI certified mileage of 84 kmpl.
Suspension and Braking System
Bajaj Discover 100M has 130mm diameter drum brakes at front while 110mm diameter drum brakes at rear. There is also an option of fitting it with 200mm petal type disk brakes at front. The suspension system consists of Telescopic Forks at front and Dual, Gas-charged, Nitrox Shock Absorbers at rear.

Bajaj Discover 100M has two variants which includes 100M and 100M Disk. It is available in 5 shades which include Flame Red, Brilliant Blue, Midnight Black with Red decals, Midnight Black with Blue decals and Midnight Black with Olive decals. The ex-showroom, Delhi price for Discover 100M is INR 46,000 and for Discover 100M Disk is INR 49,000. Overall, Bajaj Discover 100M looks like a great competitor with stylish looks, comfortable seating and handle bar, nice performing engine, high fuel efficiency and economical price.
