Our take on this /// Verdict

The CT 125X is Bajaj’s new competitor in the 125cc commuter space and is the new, bigger sibling of the existing CT 110X. Bajaj give the CT 125X a powerful and tough appearance. Powering the most affordable 125cc bike is a single-cylinder 125cc air-cooled motor with the output rated at 10bhp and 11Nm.

Bajaj has launched the most affordable 125cc bike in India, the CT125X. It’s priced at Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi) and available in three paint schemes: Green and Black, Red and Black as well as Blue and Black. The Bajaj CT125X looks similar to the CT110X. It gets a round headlight with bulb illumination. Above it is a small cowl with an LED strip integrated within. The bodywork is minimal and purposeful like a proper commuter should have.

Wednesday, 13 March 2024 11:51 AM The Bajaj CT 125X has been making waves in the Indian market with its recent launch, offering a robust 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.7bhp and 11Nm of torque. This bike is designed to handle rough roads with ease, featuring a semi-double-cradle frame, telescopic front forks, and twin rear springs. I think this rugged build and decent power output make it a strong contender in the commuter segment.
Wednesday, 13 March 2024 03:04 PM Bajaj has priced the CT 125X competitively, with the drum brake variant starting at Rs 74,016 and the disc brake variant at Rs 77,216. This pricing strategy positions the CT 125X as the most affordable 125cc bike in India, making it an attractive option for those looking to upgrade from a 110cc bike. I believe this pricing will help Bajaj capture a significant share of the commuter bike market.
Thursday, 31 August 2023 12:56 PM The Bajaj CT 125X features several practical and safety-oriented features, including a combined braking system (CBS), a V-shaped LED DRL, and a halogen headlight. It also comes with an analogue instrument cluster and a USB charger, which is a handy feature for frequent riders. I think these features enhance the overall riding experience and safety of the bike.
Thursday, 31 August 2023 07:40 AM In terms of design, the CT 125X retains much of the styling from its predecessor, the CT 110X, but with some notable upgrades such as rubber tank pads, an engine bash plate, and fork gaiters. The bike is available in three dual-tone paint schemes, giving it a rugged yet stylish look. I believe the design strikes a good balance between ruggedness and commuter comfort.
Tuesday, 15 August 2023 05:30 PM The Bajaj CT 125X has been tested for its fuel economy, with owners reporting an average mileage of around 60 kmpl, which is quite impressive for a 125cc bike. The bike also features an 11-liter fuel tank, which is larger than many of its segment rivals. I think this fuel efficiency and larger fuel tank make it a great option for daily commuters.

Detailed Review by Maxabout Team

Overview

The CT 125 X is the latest addition to Bajaj's rugged commuter lineup, joining the CT 110 X. Bajaj CT 125 X uses the same engine as the now defunct Discover 125. The popular Indian automaker Bajaj Auto Limited launched another commuter bike, the CT 125X, in the Indian market. Bajaj Auto hasn't released a 125cc motorcycle in a long time. Bajaj CT 125 X is the 125cc version of the CT 110 X commuter series from Bajaj. The Pune-based company is targeting a new group of buyers, specifically commuters who want to buy a commuter bike for different Indian road conditions.

Bajaj CT 125 X Design and Style

2024 Bajaj CT 125 X is the most affordable bike in the Indian bike market's 125cc segment. The Bajaj CT 125X looks similar to its smaller sibling, the CT 110 X. It has a stylish headlight cowl with a 'V-shaped LED DRL and a small visor, which is unusual for a budget commuter bike. The bodywork on the Bajaj CT 125X is minimal and purposeful, as it should be on a proper commuter. The new bike has a headlight guard, an engine crash guard, and a luggage rack in the back. The new Bajaj CT 125X is available in a variety of eye-catching colours, with bold body graphics on the body panels, and in two variants at all authorised Bajaj Auto showrooms across India.

2024 Bajaj CT 125 X has a 1285 mm wheelbase and is designed to provide better stability on bad and uneven roads. The belly pan, which protects the engine and tubeless tyres, will increase durability. The thick-padded seat, carrier for additional loading, disc brake, and SNS suspension are designed to reduce fatigue during long-distance rides. For added toughness, the bike gets black bellows and rubber tank pads.

Bajaj CT 125 X Engine and Gearbox

A 124.4cc, 4-stroke, Air cooled Single cylinder, SOHC, DTSi engine powers the Bajaj CT 125X. This BS6-compliant engine generates a maximum output of 10.9 HP at 8000 rpm and 11 Nm at 5500 rpm. Bajaj offers the CT 125 X engine with a 5-speed transmission system with an all-down shifting pattern. In place of a traditional fuel-injection system, this engine is fed by an Intelligent Carburetor, making it one of the very few bikes on the market today with this feature.

Bajaj CT 125 X Suspension, Brakes and Tyres

Bajaj used the square tube, semi-double cradle frame to suspend the new CT 125 X with Telescopic, Stroke 125 mm suspension at the front and SOS with Nitrox, Stroke 100 mm suspension at the rear. Bajaj CT 125 X rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 80/100-17 front and 100/90-17 rear tubeless tyres. Two different brake setups are on offer with the Bajaj CT 125 X. Riders can choose between a 130 mm drum brake setup or an optional 240mm disc brake setup at the front end with a 130 mm drum brake setup aided by CBS (Combined Braking System) at the rear end for the advanced safety on the road.

Key Features of Bajaj CT 125 X

Key features of new Bajaj CT 125 X include an attractive modern commuter design, handle mounted round shape headlight setup, a standard rearview mirror, stylish-looking bold body graphics, a better option for a commuter rider, USB mobile phone charging port, alloy wheels, BS6 standard emission engine, Intelligent Carburetor fuel system, well-designed body panels, modern designed led tail light, twin-pod instrument cluster, better performance engine, disc or drum brake setup, attractive colours options, roll single-piece seat, turn indicator lights, rear luggage rack, wide crash guard, headlight guard, tubeless tyres, engine guard, and tank pads.
