Miscellaneous Information
Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges.

FAQs

Most Popular FAQs for Bajaj Chetak Premium
  • Does the Chetak’s 73 km/h top speed suit Indian road conditions?

    15 January 2025 09:17

It's plenty for city riding. I rarely go above 60 anyway. For an e scooter, it’s better to focus on range, not top speed.

  • How does the Chetak’s ride quality compare to regular petrol scooters?

    15 January 2025 09:17

It's a very different experience though. It’s silent, and takes some getting used to, but I can’t go back to noisy petrol scooters.

  • Should you pay the extra 9k for Bajaj Chetak Premium TecPac?

    15 January 2025 09:17

Nah, it's just a cash grab. The vast majority of those features should be common on a "premium" scooter. Bajaj is just nickel and diming us.

  • How does the Chetak’s metal body fare in the long run, compared to plastic bodied competitors?

    15 January 2025 09:17

It's overrated. It’s sure premium feeling, but the extra weight kills the range. I would prefer to have a lighter plastic body and go further.

  • Is the Chetak Premium outdated because it doesn’t have a touchscreen?

    15 January 2025 09:17

It’s a little bit behind the times. To be frank, touchscreens are just more intuitive, especially if you were talking about navigation.

  • How does the claimed range of the Bajaj Chetak Premium compare with the real world range?

    15 January 2025 09:09

The Chetak Premium’s range is actually pretty accurate compared to other e scooters I have tried. Seeing realistic claims is refreshing.

  • How does the Bajaj Chetak Premium fare in monsoon conditions?

    15 January 2025 09:09

If Bajaj had included some waterproof cover for parking, I wish they would have. That would have been a nice touch for a premium scooter.

  • With the rapid advancements in EV technology, how future proof is the Bajaj Chetak Premium?

    15 January 2025 09:09

I believe that Bajaj had the Chetak Premium designed with future upgrades in mind. The battery system should be modular, so that it can be easily swapped when technology improves.

  • The Bajaj Chetak Premium is the pricier version of the standard version.

    15 January 2025 09:09

That depends on your priorities. The Premium is great if you’re tech savvy and love gadgets. If all you need is basic transportation then standard is the way to go.

  • Is the Bajaj Chetak Premium long term reliable?

    15 January 2025 09:09

I've heard mixed things. There have been some great experiences and some people have had recurring electrical problems. It's a bit of a gamble.

The pickup on the Bajaj Chetak is great, making it a comfortable ride even in bumper to bumper traffic. The brakes are good and responsive and it can easily handle the slanting ramps on the roads. With two people on the scooter, it could easily handle the slanting ramp with no issues. Overall, it is a great scooter to drive and enjoy.

It is a very good two wheeler available in market. I have my own and I love. Only thing it requires is the up-gradation through a franchise workshop of Bajaj. Many customers like me are expecting for re-launch.
