The pickup on the Bajaj Chetak is great, making it a comfortable ride even in bumper to bumper traffic. The brakes are good and responsive and it can easily handle the slanting ramps on the roads. It is a very good two wheeler available in market. I have my own and I love. Only thing it requires is the up-gradation through a franchise workshop of Bajaj. Many customers like me are expecting for re-launch.

I father purchased my Chetak in 2002 & I must say it was really a nice decision that he made. It is butter-smooth and the handling is much better thanks to its extra-long 1275 mm wheelbase. The continuous seat is really comfortable, and provides added protection for the petrol cap. As far as looks are concerned, I would say that it looks better than the normal 2 stroke version. The speedometer also looks good which I feel is far better than the original, ugly display in older scooters. The switch gear is neat and ergonomic, and the price is economical which is easily fits to everyone's pocket. The braking is pathetic which has already caused 2 accidents for a rash rider like me.

My father is using Bajaj Chetak from last 15 years and I also use it occasionaly to drop my sister to the school. Our Chetak's condition is very good as my father take very good care of it. We took it for repairing in 2005 for the first time as with the time its engine get weak and its mileage also dropped. Before repairing, I used to get decent mileage of about 36 km/ltr which later dropped to 25-28 km/ltr. After service, our Chetak became new and its mileage figure also improved at 38kmpl. Apart from that, it carries two adults and two kids very comfortably. As I used to stand in front and my sister and mother fits very comfortably at pillion seat. It also have storage space to accommodate documents and small stuff. For me and my family, Bajaj Chetak is the best two-wheeler and if it come again with some tweaks we will surely by one again.
