Yamaha YZF-R6 is a racetrack born style statement that grabs attention of masses almost everywhere. It uses the aluminum die-cast Delta-box frame that gives you a razor shape and ultra-responsive handling. The aerodynamic and aggressive bodywork serves as icing on a cake. Yamaha YZF-R6 has got a dialog-analogue instrument console with bright-light LCD and features a digital speedometer, clock, fuel gauge and an analogue tachometer. It also bears indicators for pass-light, low fuel, oil and battery indicators. The blue light is used in LCD which gives it a futuristic and trendy look.

Dimensions and Fuel Tank Capacity

Yamaha YZF-R6 has got a length of 2040mm, width of 705mm and a height of 1095mm as its dimensions that can easily accommodate tall as well as short heights. The bike has a wet weight (including full oil and fuel tank) of 189 Kg along with a fuel tank and oil tank capacity of 17-litres and 3.4-litres respectively.

Engine and Specifications

Yamaha YZF-R6 is powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-stroke, 4-valves engine that generates a 599cc displacement. It has a bore into stroke ratio of 67.0 mm and 42.5 mm respectively. This forward-inclined parallel 4-cylinder engine kicks out a maximum power of 122 bhp at 14,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 65.7 Nm at 10,500 rpm. It is mated to a wet, multiple-disc coil spring clutch, electronic fuel injection carburettor, digital TCI ignition system and a constant mesh, six speed transmission which gives it an amazing power.

Brakes and Suspensions

The YZF-R6 has got front Ø 310 mm, hydraulic dual disc brakes and rear Ø 220 mm, hydraulic single disc brakes for strong and powerful braking. On the other hand, front upside-down telescopic fork, Ø 41 mm and rear swing-arm (link suspension), mono-shock suspensions are there to handle the suspension duties which works efficiently and effortlessly to give you a comfortable and relaxed ride. It has a front wheel travel of 115 mm and the rear one with 120mm.

Ride and Handling

It is a great fun to ride the stunning Yamaha YZF-R6. It has a minimum ground clearance of 130mm and an extended wheelbase of 1,375 mm. The bike comes fitted with alloy wheels of size 120/70 ZR17M/C (58W) at the front and 180/55 ZR17M/C (73W) at the rear end. The YZF-R6 is stable around edges and can easily pave through uneven roads. The bike has wonderful off-road capabilities also which makes it unique in its class.
