How does the Toyota Glanza fare on Indian roads compared to its rivals?
30 December 2024 12:21
On bad roads, I’ve driven the Glanza and it does not disappoint. Most bumps soak up by the suspension without too much fuss. It’s not an SUV, but it’s pleasant enough for daily use.
Is the Toyota Glanza a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno?
30 December 2024 12:21
I think it's unfair to call it "just" a rebadge. Toyota have put their own spin on it and the longer warranty tells me they’re confident in the product. It’s not a lazy rebadge, it’s a smart collaboration.
Is the premium on the Toyota Glanza over the Maruti Suzuki Baleno justified?
30 December 2024 12:21
However, if you can negotiate a good deal, it’s worth it. That's why some Toyota dealers have better discounts or freebies you might be able to take advantage of to offset the price difference.
Which is noisier, the Toyota Glanza cabin or that of other cars in its segment?
30 December 2024 12:21
Honestly, it’s pretty quiet for its class and I’ve driven the Glanza. It’s not luxury car silent, but for a compact hatchback, it does a decent job of keeping road noise out.
How does the Toyota Glanza’s infotainment system stack up?
30 December 2024 12:21
The infotainment on the Glanza is pretty solid too. It's responsive, easy to use, and gets all the basics out of the way. It's not cutting edge by any stretch of the imagination, but it works without any fuss.
Is the Toyota Fortuner outdated because of the lack of features in comparison to rivals?
30 December 2024 11:03
The Fortuner doesn’t require gimmicks. Buyers of its SUV know what they are getting, a tough and reliable SUV. If you’re looking for a tech showcase, this isn’t it.
Has the popularity of the Toyota Fortuner in India more to do with status rather than automotive merit?
30 December 2024 11:03
It’s undeniable that the status factor, but it’s not fair to say it’s the only reason for its popularity. Toyota’s brand value and after sales service also have huge role to play.
Is the Toyota Fortuner really worth the bucks?
30 December 2024 11:03
I believe it is overpriced for what it has to offer in terms of features, but you are paying for the badge and reliability. In many parts of India, it’s not just a car; it’s a status symbol.
So, why does the Toyota Fortuner get the image of a 'bad boy' on Indian roads?
30 December 2024 11:03
It’s totally justified. I’ve come to know that every time I see a Fortuner in my rearview mirror that I’m about to get tailgated or cut off. And it is like an unwritten rule for them.
Is the Toyota Fortuner's off road capability overrated for most Indian users?
30 December 2024 11:03
It's not just about being able to go to extreme places off road. It’s about how to handle whatever Indian roads can throw at you, be it potholes, floods or even a farmer’s tractor in the middle of the road. In that sense, it's very relevant.
If Toyota decided to bring back the Celica today, what would it need to have to be a success?
30 December 2024 11:00
Keep it simple, and keep it affordable. A lightweight naturally aspirated sports coupe with great handling. It's basically a step up from the GR86 but below the Supra.
Was it a mistake for Toyota to discontinue the Celica?
30 December 2024 11:00
The discontinuation wasn't a mistake but the timing of it was off. Had they just held out a little longer, they could have turned it into a fun, efficient car during the late 2000s recession.
What modification should I make to a Celica that would make it stand out at car meets?
30 December 2024 11:00
Interior mods are underrated. People will be more impressed by a fully custom interior with nice materials and killer audio setup than by another body kit.
Is the Toyota Celica a good car for a new driver?
30 December 2024 11:00
Personally, I'd say no. For new drivers, something more forgiving is where to focus learning. Someone who’s just beginning to learn how to drive might find the Celica’s sportier handling and lack of visibility a bit much.
The most underrated generation of Toyota Celica?
30 December 2024 11:00
I think the 6th gen (1994-1999) is underrated. The 5th gen design was refined, and had some solid engine options. And it’s also getting into the classic territory now.
Why do Toyota Camrys appear to never break down?
30 December 2024 10:48
I think a little bit of it is engineering and a little bit of it is the fact that the people who buy Camrys tend to take good care of their cars. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
Would you pay more for a Camry if its resale value is worth it?
30 December 2024 10:48
It’s nice to have resale value, but I’d rather buy a cheaper car and put the money difference into savings. That could work out in your favour.
Is the Camry no longer a leader in the hybrid market?
30 December 2024 10:48
I don't think it has lost its edge. The Camry Hybrid still remains one of the most reliable and fuel efficient options out there. The competition has just caught up.
Is the Camry TRD a 'real' performance car?
30 December 2024 10:48
For Camry buyers, but not enthusiasts, it's a performance car. If you want a little more excitement without sacrificing reliability, it’s perfect.
Is the Toyota Camry really boring like everyone says?
30 December 2024 10:48
I truly believe the boring tag is a thing of the past. In fact, the new Camrys, and especially the TRD version, are actually pretty fun to drive. Now they've got decent power and handling.
