Which is noisier, the Toyota Glanza cabin or that of other cars in its segment?
In fact the noise levels inside the cabin can adversely affect the driving experience. Being a compact hatchback, the Toyota Glanza is put through the wringer in this area, as buyers in this segment have certain expectations of refinement. While a few owners have praised the Glanza for its quiet cabin, a few owners who have bought the car have found the levels of noise higher than expected. Cabin noise is a product of poor insulation materials, door seals design and noise dampening techniques used during the car's construction. The Glanza cabin noise debate also often draws parallels with its sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, as well as other segment rivals, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz.
Honestly, it’s pretty quiet for its class and I’ve driven the Glanza. It’s not luxury car silent, but for a compact hatchback, it does a decent job of keeping road noise out.
The same car, are we talking about the same car? On the highway my friend’s Glanza is noisy as hell. You can’t have a conversation without raising your voice.
It's hit or miss. I've been in two Glanzas, and one of them was much quieter than the other. Perhaps the insulation is not consistent?
The Glanza is definitely much louder than my old i20. But it's not a deal-breaker. After a while, you get used to it.
I think people are too picky. This is not a BMW, it's an affordable hatchback. The noise levels, for what it is, are perfectly acceptable.
The noise is fine in the cabin but the problem is the wind noise at higher speeds. The door seals could have been done better.
The Baleno certainly is quieter than this. Either Toyota added some extra insulation or something.
