Is the premium on the Toyota Glanza over the Maruti Suzuki Baleno justified?

Essentially the same car underneath, the Toyota Glanza is usually priced higher than its Maruti Suzuki Baleno counterpart. The price difference has given car buyers something to argue about, with some saying the Glanza isn’t worth the money. There are also factors to consider, such as Toyota’s reliability reputation, potential extra resale value, what the warranty is like and potentially what dealership experience you are getting. There is a school of thought that with such a genuine makeup, the Toyota badge alone adds value and peace of mind, while there are those who feel the Baleno is a better buy than the Vios, owing to better value for money. The comparison usually involves after sales service, spare parts availability and long term ownership costs of the two brands. It really comes down to personal brand preference and the deals that are available when you buy.

Absolutely worth it! The extra cost is justified by the fact that Toyota’s reliability is legendary. Plus, you’ll get most of that premium back when you sell it.

No way, it's a total rip-off. Because it’s got a Toyota badge, you’re paying more for the same car. Save your cash and stick with the Baleno.

It depends on what you value. But if you want slightly better looks and don't mind paying for the Toyota badge, go for it. Honestly, the Baleno is the better choice for most people.

And for the extended warranty alone, I would say it’s worth it. If you’re going to keep the car for a long time, peace of mind is priceless.

It's not just for the badge. Toyota has top quality control and customer service. You’re paying for better ownership experience.

However, if you can negotiate a good deal, it’s worth it. That's why some Toyota dealers have better discounts or freebies you might be able to take advantage of to offset the price difference.

I don't think it's worth it. Their network is big and parts are cheaper. You can save the money you save on the Baleno for better tires or accessories.
