Discussions and Questions Bajaj Avenger - Page 2
The Avenger 220 seems to be more comfortable than cruisers that cost twice as much.
14 January 2025 06:52
For the price, it’s comfortable enough, but let’s be real, it doesn’t come close to the plushness of more expensive bikes. But with a few mods, a better seat and a handlebar, you can get pretty close.
Is the Avenger 200’s performance enough for highway rides?
14 January 2025 06:44
As for the bike, highways are fine, but when it comes to engine power, it’s not lacking, it’s the lack of wind protection that’s a bigger issue. It makes a world of difference having a good windscreen.
How does the maintenance cost and reliability of Avenger 200 match up with its competitors?
14 January 2025 06:44
Routine maintenance is cheap, but some specific parts can be really expensive. But the chrome bits especially seem to require frequent attention to keep from rusting.
Is the Bajaj Avenger 200 in need of a major overhaul?
14 January 2025 06:44
Absolutely! The Avenger is way overdue for a major refresh. After all, other manufacturers are constantly innovating, while it’s been basically the same bike for years now. If Bajaj want to stay relevant in the cruiser market, they need to step up their game.
How comfortable is the Avenger 200 for those long rides on other bikes in this class?
14 January 2025 06:44
I find the stock seat is too soft for really long rides. At first it feels great, but after a few hours you start to feel it. A world of difference is made by an aftermarket seat.
Would Bajaj have been more successful if they had given the Avenger 200 more customization options?
14 January 2025 06:44
But while it would be great to have a bunch of customization options, Bajaj really needs to start by updating the base bike. There’s no point in dressing up an outdated platform.
Could the Avenger 180 be made into an electric model?
14 January 2025 06:30
An electric Avenger? That could be pretty cool! A relaxed riding position would go nicely with the smooth power delivery of an electric motor. And imagine how quiet and vibration free those cruises would be too!
In 2025, is the Bajaj Avenger 180 still relevant?
14 January 2025 06:30
Absolutely! The Avenger 180 is sort of that comfy old t shirt you can't bring yourself to throw away. It’s simple, reliable, and just does the job without any fuss. Sometimes you just want something that works in a world of overcomplicated bikes.
Should Bajaj bring in an Avenger 400 to give Royal Enfield a run for its money?
14 January 2025 06:30
Nah, it's too late. The cult following that Royal Enfield has that even if Bajaj were to make an Avenger 400, it wouldn't dent Royal Enfield's sales. Instead, they should be focusing on improving their already good lineup.
Does it really ride comfortable for extended trips on the Avenger 180?
14 January 2025 06:30
As someone who has done a 500km trip on an Avenger 180, I can say it’s pretty damn comfortable. The position is laid back for cruising, and I had no back pain after hours on the road.
So, why hasn’t Bajaj updated the Avenger series significantly in years?
14 January 2025 06:30
Bajaj is playing it safe, I believe. Why fix what ain't broke when the Avenger sells decently with little to no marketing? They are their backup singer that keeps the show going while they pay attention to their KTM rockstars.
Is the Avenger 150 in need of a major update, or is Bajaj just ignoring it?
14 January 2025 06:18
Bajaj is definitely neglecting the Avenger. There haven't been any real updates in years. They have to be given a new engine and given some modern features to keep running with.
Is the Avenger 150 more customizable than most other cruisers?
14 January 2025 06:18
I think the lack of extensive customization options is a good thing. That’s the whole point of the Avenger; it keeps things simple and affordable.
Is the Avenger 150's low seat height good for short riders?
14 January 2025 06:18
It’s a good short rider, but that shouldn’t be the only reason to buy. Take different bikes out for a test ride and check which bikes feel right for you.
Is the Bajaj Avenger 150 actually an 'uncle's bike'?
14 January 2025 06:18
I know why people say that, but it’s not quite fair. The Avenger is just a chill bike that appeals to older riders, too. That doesn't mean that young people can't have fun with it.

14 January 2025 06:18
I have ridden my Avenger 150 for a few 300km+ rides and it is surprisingly good. You sit comfy and the riding position is relaxed. They are way better than sport bikes for long hauls.

14 January 2025 06:12
With some mods, it can work! Throw a windscreen, a better seat, and some luggage on it and it becomes a pretty decent light tourer. Just backroads, backroads, backroads, enjoy the journey.
Is the Avenger 160 Street outdated?
14 January 2025 06:12
It's definitely seen better days. It all boils down to engine and features that are quite basic compared to its newer counterparts in the segment. It is really time for Bajaj to update it.
The Avenger 160 Street does live up to its 'cruiser' image.
14 January 2025 06:12
I think it really gets the cruiser vibe! It’s perfect for chill rides with the relaxed riding position and low end torque. Not every cruiser has to be a highway monster.
The Avenger 160 Street is a daily commuter.
14 January 2025 06:12
It's perfect for laid back commuters. The Avenger is great if you're not in a rush and you can use it to enjoy your ride to work. If you need to zip through traffic, however, look elsewhere.
