Would Bajaj have been more successful if they had given the Avenger 200 more customization options?

There has been more and more customization on motorcycles by motorcycle enthusiasts; letting the riders let their motorcycles match their individual taste and need. Some manufacturers offer extensive customization from the factory, while others leave the job to the aftermarket. Being a cruiser style bike, the Avenger 200 of course has potential to be customized. But Bajaj's official offerings in this area have been quite limited. So, one does wonder if Bajaj should extend the customization options for the Avenger, allowing for different seat styles, handlebar options, exhaust systems, or performance upgrades. Such options, then, could potentially appeal to riders wanting to make an Avenger unique or to further personalize it. But keeping the bike simple and cheap has been part of its appeal, and extensive customization could drive up the price and make production more complex.

The Avenger is beautiful because it is simple. Having too many factory options can make things too complicated and expensive.

Royal Enfield should take a page from Bajaj's book and offer a range of official accessories. Increasing profit margins and keeping customers happy, it’s a great way to do it.

A few simple things like different paint schemes or seat colors would work. It wasn’t anything crazy, just enough to make it feel more personal.

But while it would be great to have a bunch of customization options, Bajaj really needs to start by updating the base bike. There’s no point in dressing up an outdated platform.

I would love to see some official touring accessories from Bajaj. Better windshield, saddlebags, and some sort of a more comfortable seat for longer rides.

Bajaj doesn't have to go over the top with factory customization. It keeps the base price lower and the aftermarket scene for the Avenger is pretty good.

Absolutely! The Avenger is so customizable. Bajaj should also offer different handle bar options, seat styles and maybe some performance upgrades.
