Which Alfa Romeo 8C Spider feature is the most underrated?
30 January 2025 09:41
The way it ages. Now these cars are better looking than they were when they were new. It has really stood the test of time for the design.
Is the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider worth the hefty price?
30 January 2025 09:41
It could be worth it as an investment. As with many things, limited production runs often result in an appreciation of value over time. Can you imagine what classic Alfas will be worth now?
The greatest disadvantage of the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider is what?
30 January 2025 09:41
The biggest drawback? If it wasn’t the constant fear of scratching it or getting into a fender bender. I don't drive it regularly because I'd be too scared!
Is the 8C Competizione a good investment?
30 January 2025 09:34
Buying one and driving the wheels off it is the best investment. You don't have to garage cars like this, you know, life's too short.
What do modern Alfa Romeos have in common with the 8C?
30 January 2025 09:34
The 8C is a better Alfa, if that makes sense, but the modern Alfas are better cars. They represent the brand's passion in a way the new ones cannot.
What color should the 8C Competizione be?
30 January 2025 09:34
I actually like it in silver. All the little details in the bodywork are still there but it's quite subtle.
What is the story behind the 8C's 'robotized manual' transmission?
30 January 2025 09:34
I actually like it. This is part of the character of the car. It’s not as smooth as modern dual clutch boxes, but it makes you feel more involved.
Is the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione too good to be true?
30 January 2025 09:34
People miss the point, I think. The 8C was never intended to be a track monster. It’s a sculpture that rolls and has a wonderful engine, incidentally. It's perfectly rated in that context.
Is an Alfa Romeo 147 worth modifying, or is it better left as it is?
30 January 2025 09:31
If you do anything, stick to OEM+ mods. If you want performance, the good news is that Alfa's own sportier parts from higher trim levels or limited editions will fit without compromising the car's integrity.
How did the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA stack up against other hot hatches of its year?
30 January 2025 09:31
The GTA is a flawed gem. The chassis struggles to cope, but it's got an amazing engine. But dammit, I’d still rather have it than a Focus RS any day, because it’s just so damn dramatic.
What are the most common problems Alfa Romeo 147 owners have to deal with, and are they deal breakers?
30 January 2025 09:31
The Twin Spark engines timing belt failures are over hyped. If you change it on schedule then you're fine. If you're one of the rare people to have one, the real headache is the Selespeed transmission.
Is the Alfa Romeo 147 a pretty face or a true driver's car?
30 January 2025 09:31
It's a bit of both, really. The 147 has that Alfa charm but it doesn't handle as well as some German alternatives and is nowhere near as refined or powerful. It’s more engaging than most hatchbacks, though.
What's up with the Alfa Romeo 147's 'Selespeed' transmission?
30 January 2025 09:31
Don't believe the hype about Selespeed, it's not all bad. It is also quite reliable provided there is regular maintenance and software update. It’s no worse than other early automated manuals.
What's the weirdest ownership story you have with your Brera?
30 January 2025 09:23
The first time I heard the V6's cold start, I thought it was for some reason. It just has a special growl to it when it's warming up, turns out. I now look forward to it every morning.
How does a Brera compare to other Alfa Romeos?
30 January 2025 09:23
I have owned a 156, a GT, and now a Brera and I'd say the Brera is the most 'modern' feeling of the lot. It's not as raw as the older Alfas, but it's more livable day to day.
What is the Brera's design's most underrated part?
30 January 2025 09:23
The exhaust tips which are now integrated into rear bumper are appreciated. It’s a clean look you don’t see on many cars, much less from the late 60s.
Is the Alfa Romeo Brera a pretty face or a true driver's car?
30 January 2025 09:23
I’m a Brera owner and can confirm it’s a lot more than eye candy. The sound out of the V6 is fantastic and it pulls hard. It may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but it’s a great all rounder for daily use and weekend fun.
The biggest 'hidden gem' feature of the Alfa Romeo Brera is?
30 January 2025 09:23
It is a game changer – the fixed glass roof. It's just like it opens up the interior so much more without the complexity of a sunroof. And you can stargaze too on night drives!
What is the Alfa Romeo MiTo like to drive?
30 January 2025 09:19
My MiTo’s driving experience is a bit disappointing. The DNA system is cool but even in Dynamic mode it doesn’t feel as sharp as I would have expected from an Alfa. In terms of go kart like handling, the MINI has the edge.
How would the community modify an Alfa Romeo MiTo?
30 January 2025 09:19
Modding is fun, but it’s worth thinking about how that affects resale value. A modded MiTo will have some buyers falling in love with it, others will run a mile. The extent of the work depends on your long term plans for the car.
