Renault Captur Platine Edition

About
The Renault Captur Platine Edition is a mid-size SUV that stands out with its distinctive European design and robust build quality. The exterior is sleek and masculine, with a dual-tone color scheme that adds to its appeal. Inside, the car features a wrap-around dashboard, ambient LED lighting, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system, although the use of hard plastics detracts from the overall premium feel. The Captur boasts excellent ride quality, thanks to its high ground clearance of 210mm and well-tuned suspension, making it adept at handling various road conditions. The diesel engine provides 110hp and 240Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and powerful drive. Additional features include cruise control, speed limiter, and eco mode, making it a well-rounded package for both city driving and long road trips. However, ingress and egress to the rear seats can be a bit challenging, and the lack of advanced safety features like six airbags is a notable omission. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Captur Platine Edition is a solid choice for those seeking a stylish, comfortable, and capable SUV.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Renault Captur Platine Edition is a compelling option in the mid-size SUV segment, especially for those who value a unique design and a robust driving experience. While its exterior design is undoubtedly stylish and European, the interiors, though well-designed, suffer from the use of hard plastics that dont quite match the premium feel expected at this price point. The driving experience is where the Captur truly shines, with a comfortable ride quality that handles both city roads and highways with ease. The diesel engine, in particular, offers a smooth and powerful drive, although the lack of a sixth gear in the petrol variant can be felt at higher speeds. Despite some minor issues like limited rear space and the absence of advanced safety features like six airbags, the Captur Platine Edition is a solid choice for those seeking a blend of style, comfort, and performance.
Price
The Renault Captur Platine Edition is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for the top-of-the-line Platine variant can range from around 13.5 to 14.5 lakhs, depending on the city and state. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes, registration, and insurance, the price can go up to around 16 to 17 lakhs. This pricing makes the Captur Platine Edition a viable option against its competitors like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, especially considering the features and performance it offers. However, the final cost can vary based on local taxes and other regional factors.

It's a very good looking car. I like its a head-turning appearance on the road. Its dual-tone colour is astonishing.it has very good ground clearance. The best feature of the car is smart key. Also 17. Inch machine cut alloy wheels are very cool in appearance. Hill assist is also very wonderful it helps me a lot when I go through my house ramp. Cruise control is wonderful. However, leather seats are a little bit hard but it may be good for long drive. Overall it is a very good SUV

Pros: It's built Quality

Cons: Engine in 2nd gear works only at high speed
