Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyundai Santro Xing, although discontinued, remains a notable entry in the Indian automotive market, particularly for its reliability and ease of use. From my perspective, this car is a solid choice for those seeking a straightforward, no-frills driving experience. The engine, a 1086 cc unit, delivers decent performance with power output ranging from 62 to 62.1 bhp, which is sufficient for urban and highway driving. However, some owners have reported issues with the gearbox and fuel economy, especially in the LPG variants. Despite these drawbacks, the Santro Xings durability and low maintenance costs make it a viable option for budget-conscious buyers. Overall, its a good value for the money, but it may not excel in all aspects, particularly when compared to more modern alternatives.
Price
The prices for the Hyundai Santro Xing, although it is no longer in production, can give us an idea of its value when it was available. Ex-showroom prices for the Santro Xing ranged from approximately Rs. 2.98 lakh for the base model to Rs. 4.50 lakh for the top variants. On-road prices would have been slightly higher, considering additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could add up to around Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 5.5 lakh depending on the state and city. These prices reflect the cars positioning as an affordable and economical choice in the Indian market.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 02:43 PM
When it comes to mileage, the Hyundai Santro Xing offers reasonable fuel efficiency. The manual petrol variant achieves a mileage of 17.92 kmpl, while the automatic petrol variant gives 17.8 kmpl. The manual CNG variant offers 17.9 kmkg, and the LPG variant provides 17.8 kmkg. These figures are decent for a car in its class, making it a relatively economical choice for daily commuting. However, real-world mileage can vary based on driving conditions and maintenance of the vehicle.

Very good compact car for city and rural life. Easy to drive around, maintenance is also not expensive, used it for 10 years and still runs perfectly
Best Features: Easy to maneuver
Pros: Everything
Cons: No sensor in the rear end, no mirror as well. It's a manual car in all the senses
