Hyundai Santro Xing continues to be powered by the trusted 1.1 eRLX Epsilon engine that develops 62.1 Bhp at 5500 rpm as maximum power and 96.1 Nm at 3000 rpm as maximum torque and has a proven fuel-economy, durability and power-efficiency. The engine is mated to five-speed manual gearbox. The clutch of Santro Xing is light and the gear shift is positive and very responsive. On flat and level surfaces the Santro Xing can go up to 145km/h on the speedometer quite easily even with the air-conditioner on high. The car has a suspension powered by struts McPherson in front with an H torsion beam for the rear wheels. The car is equipped with ventilated disc brakes in the front and drum brakes for the rear wheels. Even in the absence of the anti-lock brake system the car manages to stop smoothly.
