Force Trax Cruiser

Synopsis

At the Auto Expo, 2020 Force Motors reintroduced their older models of vehicles with an updated BS6 compliant emission. Force Trax Cruiser was one of the BS6-compliant MUVs introduced there, along with Cruiser Deluxe. The only difference between the standard Force Trax Cruiser and Force Trax Cruiser Deluxe is the ‘modern dual AC’ which are just roof-mounted air conditioning vents for rear passengers and regular air conditioning vents for the first row passengers.

The Force Trax Cruiser, just like the Force Trax Toofan, gets a facelift with several tweaks to the design of the discontinued older version. The front fascia, along with new headlights, front bumper with integrated fog lights and redesigned front grille. The door hinges are also different from the BS4 version as they hide in the BS6 version as compared to the visible door hinges of the previous version.

Force Motors has made the new Trax Cruiser larger than the older model, all four variants share the same dimensions after the facelift. Forex Trax Cruiser is 5120mm in length, 2027mm in height 1818mm in width, wheelbase of 3050mm and the laden ground clearance of the Trax Cruiser is 160mm.

Force has redesigned the interior completely with the dual-tone theme of blue and brown. An updated dashboard with a new instrument cluster and seat upholstery is added as well. Force Motors is offering the new Trax Cruiser multiple seating configurations, i.e. 9+D and 12+D seating options.

2023 Trax Cruiser is powered by an FM2.6CR CD BS6-compliant 2596cc 4-cylinder, common rail DI TCIC, which generates a maximum power of 90 HP at 3200 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1400-2400 rpm. The 2.6L Mercedes-derived diesel engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual synchromesh transmission. The Trax Cruiser sits on the rectangular C in C type chassis section with the front independent double-wishbone torsion bar and rear parabolic leaf spring, both are hydraulic telescopic double-acting shock absorbers with an anti-roll bar.

They installed it with a front disc and rear drum, dual circuit, hydraulic vacuum assisted with auto wear adjuster, auto slack adjuster and ABS with EBD. Force is offering 15-inch steel wheels with wheel caps and radial tube tyres of 215/75-R15 LT sections. Force Trax Cruiser’s permissible GVW (gross vehicle weight) is around 3140 kg and we get a 63.5 litres fuel tank.

Highlighted features of the updated Trax Cruiser include front fascia with a new bumper and integrated fog lights, clear lens composite headlights, stuck glass windscreen, pull-type doors with latches, stuck glass windscreen with door-mounted Stepney and its cover, stylish blinkers, rear bumper with parking sensors, dual-tone dashboard with the new instrument cluster, dual AC, power windows, central locking, power steering, C in C chassis, Mercedes derived 2.6L engine, 9+D and 12+D seating options and ABS with EBD.

2023 Force Trax Cruiser is available in only one Pearl White colour option. And they offer the Trax Cruiser in 2 variants; Trax Cruiser and Trax Cruiser Deluxe. The ex-showroom price of the Force Trax Cruiser in Delhi is around Rs 13.22 lakh, but the price may vary depending on the seating options and the variant. It has a mileage of 17 km/l and a top speed of 120 km/h and is a rival to Tata Sumo Gold and Mahindra Bolero.
