Mahindra Bolero Diesel ZLX

Bolero was first launched in India in 2001. It is available in five variants named Di, EX, SLE, SLX and ZLX. It has m2DiCR engine that combines the benefits of DI engine and common rail (CR) engine which makes the engine more efficient by increasing the power and mileage. This engine has four cylinders with two valves per cylinder that makes 2523cc of displacement. The power produced by this engine is 62 bhp at 3200 rpm and the maximum torque produced is 195 Nm at 1500 rpm. The dimensions of the SUV are 4107mm (length), 1745mm (width), 1880mm (height) with wheelbase of 2680mm and ground clearance of 180mm.

It has NGT 520 gear box with 5-speed transmission having all gears synchronized to mesh with overdrive in 5th gear. The front suspension is independent coil spring with anti-roll bar while the rear suspension is elliptical leaf springs. Bolero is available with manual steering with an option for power steering that makes minimum turning radius of 5.8 metres. It follows rear wheel drive train and has an option for four wheel drive train. Its kerb weight is 1615kg and with fuel tank capacity of 60liters it gives an average mileage of 11kmpl (in city) and 16kmpl (on highways). It can reach a top speed of 125kmph and it reaches the mark of 100kmph in 30.3seconds. It is equipped with engine immobilizer that rejects any duplicate key used to start the SUV. The micro hybrid system provides automatic fuel saving.

The voice messaging system provides well timed alerts when any door is open, running low on fuel and when not wearing seat belt. The AC of Bolero has stylish vents with a heater and customizable cooling system. It has a rear wiper that is controlled remotely. The headlamps of the Bolero are in the shape of hawk-eye that gives it a stunning look. The Bolero is provided with strong and body colored bumpers that provide maximum safety in case of front impact. It is equipped with music system that plays CDs and Mp3. The front grille is a classy grille with honey comb mesh which makes the SUV looks stylish and aggressive. The contemporary body decal differentiates between on and off road Bolero.

All the windows are electrically powered and the interiors of the Bolero are stylish, dual tone and luxurious premium upholstery. The padded headrest protects the neck and the head when braking suddenly. The main console consisting of AC, AC vents and music system is wood finished that gives Bolero a lots of space and premium look. Even the spare wheel cover of the Bolero is body colored. The second row is provided with center armrests. It allows keyless entry and central locking of the vehicle. It is available in six colors named Fiery black, Diamond white, Rocky beige, Mist silver, Toreador red, Java brown.
