Yamaha FZS is one of the offerings from Yamaha that is famous amongst hoards of enthusiasts all because of its exceptional powertrain as well as design. Keeping in mind the popularity, the brand had launched a Limited Edition for the very popular FZS which exhibits subtle cosmetic changes while the engine specifications remain unaltered.
Coming to the design changes, it gets a lower chain guard/protector and the grab rails have been refurbished. The saddle has been made wider to accommodate riders well and to add to the level of comfort. The limited edition FZS was given a new paint scheme in violet blue and silver finish. The front forks get Yamaha logo stickers while the muffler exhaust received the same body finish. In terms of engine, the Yamaha FZS Limited Edition 2012 is powered by 153cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine capable of churning a maximum power of 14 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and an utmost torque of 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The wheelbase of 1335 mm and ground clearance of 160 mm is sufficient to handle the sharp corners with utmost stability.The Yamaha FZS Limited Edition 2012 gets a telescopic suspension at the front while the rear wheel gets a monoshock suspension in order to offer excellent damping. The braking duties are handled by 267mm Hydraulic Disc brake at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The bike have been equipped with 5-spoke alloy wheels and the ABS have been given a miss. The claimed mileage of the bike is 40-45 kmpl making it one of the wisest choices as well as considering its power and the stunning design. The Yamaha FZS Limited Edition is known to have a claimed top speed of 112 kmph.
