Yamaha Enticer 125 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Yamaha made its initial appearance in the Indian market in 1985. Then again in August 2001, Yamaha India became a 100% subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Company Limited. It has a production plant in Sujanpur, Utter Pradesh which was established in 1984. This plant has the capacity to produce 1 million motorcycles and scooters annually. Another manufacturing facility of Yamaha is in Faridabad, Haryana that was established in 1965 and upgraded in 2008 for manufacturing machined parts. Yamaha Motor Private Limited is an Indian subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Company which formed a joint venture with Mitsui in 2008. The products produced by Yamaha India include a range of motorcycles for domestic consumption and export including the FZ16, FZ-S, Fazer and R15.
Yamaha Enticer was an entry-level cruiser motorcycle that has been discontinued in India. This cruiser motorcycle had an air-cooled, four-stroke engine that made 123.7cc of engine displacement. The power generated by this engine was 11 Bhp at 8000 rpm and the maximum torque produced was 10.4 Nm at 6500 rpm. It had a bore and stroke length of 54mm. This motorcycle measured 1995mm in length, 670mm in width, 1125mm in height with 1375mm of wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 140mm. It had a kerb weight of 125kg with a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres. It had a lot of chrome plating and a feet-forward cruiser type riding position. It had telescopic forks as front suspension and adjustable shock absorbers with a swing arm as rear suspension.
The brakes installed in the bike were drum brakes of 130mm diameter. There was an option of self-start and disc brake of 240mm diameter in the Enticer. It was supported on a 6-ply rating, 16-inch Y-pattern MRF Zapper tire in the rear and tires of a 4-ply rating & size 2.75x18 in front. With a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres, the average mileage of this motorcycle was 40kmpl (in the city) and 55kmpl (on highways). This motorcycle revolutionized the Indian buyers and gave the idea of real cruiser bikes. With raised handlebar, long wheelbase, easy rider seating geometry, footrests (for the driver), fat rear tyres and single pod instrument chromed rearview mirrors give the bike a stunning and catchy look. This motorcycle was available in three colours named Gold (light yellow), Burgundy (reddish) and Black. It was available with the ex-showroom price of INR 48000 in Delhi.

User Reviews for Yamaha Enticer
Comfort = Enticer
I got this bike from my cousin as a gift & I never experience the comfort, smoothness with any other bike. This is the best bike i ever owned. Using this bike in 2021 as well....
Best Features: Seating Postion
Pros: Best Seating Position, Smooth machine
Cons: Machine could have bigger CC
No bike can take Enticer's place
Low price and high comfort, further enhanced fun with good top speed and impressive mileage
Best Features: It's too comfortable
Pros: I never felt this comfortable on any other bike.
Cons: Nothing
No other Cruiser can take its Place
I am riding Yamaha Enticer since I got enrolled in college from last two years. My father didn't allowed me to ride this heavy machine as it belongs to him before me. My father has maintained this bike very well and I admired it too from the day we bought it. Even now when there are vast range of motorcycles are available in the market, I like my Enticer most. It seemed to keep me close to the beauty of past. It offers perfect seating posture and the seats are so comfy that you hardly experience any tiredness on long tours. Its heavy weight gives more control on speed and rough roads. Moreover, the foot pegs also provide perfect ride. Actually, it is designed to give a smooth ride which stand out of the way. Then comes mileage, it is not a fuel efficient motorcycle and one should not expect a good one from a cruiser bike. For me its fine, I can pay anything for smooth and classy ride. Mileage doesn't matter me. Yet if anyone wants to buy a used one with 15k mileage I would say ‘go for it’ because this is the bike that sure will last long.
