General information and overview

The TVS Victor is a 109.7cc commuter motorcycle designed primarily for urban and semi-urban use, featuring a single-cylinder, 3-valve engine producing about 9.5 BHP and 9.4 Nm of torque. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox and offers variants with drum and optional front disc brakes to ensure balanced performance and safety. The bike boasts a semi-digital instrument cluster, decent ground clearance of 164 mm, and a kerb weight of around 122 kg, making it nimble and comfortable on Indian roads. Its suspension setup with telescopic front forks and spring suspension at the rear enhances ride quality across varying terrains. The TVS Victor prioritizes fuel efficiency, achieving ARAI-claimed mileage up to 72 kmpl, making it economical for daily commuters. While lacking some modern features in the current era, it is well-regarded for its build quality, reliability, and strong service network throughout India. Although discontinued by TVS, its legacy as a budget-friendly, efficient bike lives on through used bike markets.

The TVS Victor is a commuter motorcycle powered by a 109.7cc single-cylinder, 3-valve engine producing approximately 9.46 BHP and 9.4 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 4-speed gearbox. It features a semi-digital instrument console, tubeless tyres for safer puncture response, and an optional front disc brake enhancing braking performance. Its ground clearance stands at a beneficial 164 mm, making it adept at handling Indian road irregularities. Offering a kerb weight of about 122 kg, the bike balances lightweight agility with stability. The fuel tank capacity of 8 liters supports long rides with fewer refueling stops, backed by a fuel-efficient engine delivering around 60 to 76 kmpl mileage. Although lacking modern features such as self-start or fully digital instrumentation, it compensates with reliability, a comfortable riding posture, and a robust suspension setup combining telescopic front forks and rear spring suspension for a smooth ride on urban and semi-urban routes. Overall, the Victor fits well within the budget commuter segment for practical, everyday use in India.

Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The TVS Victor stands out as a well-rounded commuter motorcycle that delivers a reliable, efficient, and comfortable riding experience, making it ideal for daily use in Indian city and semi-urban conditions. Its 109.7cc engine produces a respectable 9.46 BHP, providing enough punch for smooth city rides and occasional highway use. The bike’s combination of a lightweight frame, good ground clearance, and balanced ride quality enhances maneuverability and stability on diverse road surfaces. Although it lacks some modern features like a self-start in older versions and advanced digital instrumentation found in newer competitors, its robust build quality, low maintenance cost, and strong service network compensate for that. I find the Victor a practical choice for budget-conscious buyers seeking fuel-efficient performance without compromising on comfort or dependability. Its semi-digital instrument cluster, decent brakes with optional disc variant, and overall refinement surface as strong positives. However, buyers looking for contemporary styling or premium features may want to explore other options in this segment as TVS has discontinued this model.

Its 109.7cc 3-valve engine balances decent performance with a highly competitive mileage claim of around 60-76 kmpl, making it economical for daily use. The bike’s well-tuned suspension and manageable weight ensure comfort on typical Indian road conditions. While it lacks some modern amenities like self-start and advanced digital instrumentation found in competitors, its semi-digital console and optional front disc brake provide a satisfactory feature set for its price. The Victor stands out in its segment with a blend of performance, mileage, and affordability, solidifying its appeal for practical users prioritizing running costs and reliability over flashy extras. Its durability and extensive service network enhance confidence in ownership, especially for city commuters and occasional highway use.

Pricing details and changes

When it was available, the TVS Victor’s price in India was competitively positioned between approximately Rs. 49,000 and Rs. 61,000 ex-showroom depending on variant (drum, disc brake, premium editions) across different states. The on-road price including insurance, taxes, and registration would generally add around Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000 more, making it approximately Rs. 57,000 to Rs. 73,000 on road in metro cities. This pricing helped it directly compete with other popular 110cc commuter motorcycles from Hero and Honda. Considering its features and fuel efficiency, the Victor offered strong value for money in its price segment at launch. From an ownership perspective, its low maintenance and high mileage kept running costs minimal, enhancing its affordability over time. However, as production has ceased, buyers interested in this model might look at used bike prices, which vary significantly based on condition and location but remain attractive for those seeking an economical, reliable daily commuter.
December 9, 2025
The TVS Victor is priced attractively in India, with the ex-showroom price ranging approximately between INR 49,490 for the drum brake variant and INR 51,490 for the disc brake variant in markets like Delhi. On-road prices across cities considering taxes, insurance, and handling charges typically rise by around 10-15%, placing the on-road cost roughly between INR 56,000 to INR 60,000 depending on the location. This pricing positions it well below premium models and offers excellent value for those seeking a cost-effective daily commuter. Given rising fuel and maintenance costs, the Victor’s initial affordability combined with low running expenses make it a sensible investment for users with tight budgets or first-time buyers targeting efficient urban mobility without compromising essential quality and reliability.

Expert Verdict

Professional reviews and expert opinions on TVS Victor

The old and trusted Victor moniker by TVS is back in India. The company defines the motorcycle as a must have machine for a family man. They have quite a long list of reasons for their terminology and Victor from its first look seems quiet appealing than an average commuter motorcycle. The newcomer gets a host of features, making it more like a premium commuter with its own attitude.

Design and Style

Victor carries a much advanced design than its predecessor, best viewed from its side profile. It comes with a short exhaust can and ends really well into the sharp tail light. The fuel tank has been beautifully designed, making the newcomer look better than Star City series of TVS motorcycles. It smoothly mixes the sporty character with a decent family drive.

Instrument Console

The best looking console in the segment, TVS offers a semi digital instrument console for the motorcycle. It offers a round, white background tachometer with digital fuel gauge in the same enclosure. On the right is a display with speedometer and other required readings. High beam, turn indicators and the neutral light is present above the display. Their is an option of hazard lights in the form of engine kill switch on the right side of the handlebar.

Engine and Gearbox

The motorcycle comes with a 109.7cc, 3 valve single cylinder engine producing the best in class 9.46 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 9.4 NM @ 6,000 rpm. The bike comes with a 4-speed gearbox and TVS claims it to be the most refined engine of its segment. It returns a company claimed mileage figure of 76 kmpl.

Brakes and Suspension

TVS offers the best in class braking option with a 240mm petal disc brake at the front and a 110mm drum brake at the rear. It is also available with a front 130mm drum brake unit. Victor uses telescopic forks for the front and series spring suspension for the rear. The setup of braking and suspension is also the best available among the competition. It comes with TVS Remora tubeless tyres and black alloy wheels for both the variants.

Shades and Variants

Victor is being offered in 2 variants with disc in one and drum brake in another. It is being offered in 6 eye catching shades namely Blue, Red, Grey, Black Grey, Black Red and Silver.

Ex-showroom Price

It has been perfectly price at INR 49,490 for the drum brake variant and INR 51,490 for the disc brake variant. If promoted well, TVS Victor has the potential to make a considerable drop in the sales of Honda Dream series, Hero Splendor series and even the Honda Livo.
