Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Star City Plus is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and fuel-efficient commuter bike in India. While it excels in its upmarket looks, fuel efficiency, and the segment-first LED headlight, it falls short in a few critical areas. The bikes motor lacks refinement, the gearbox can be inconsistent, and the braking can be overly sharp. However, for daily commuting and basic usage, the Star City Plus does its job admirably. It offers a comfortable ride, especially with its adjustable rear suspension and semi-digital instrument console. Despite some drawbacks, it remains a tough competitor in its segment, making it a viable option for those prioritizing fuel efficiency and affordability.
Price
The TVS Star City Plus is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for the drum variant starts at around Rs. 75,000, while the disc variant is priced at approximately Rs. 78,000. When considering on-road prices, these figures can rise to around Rs. 76,820 for the dual-tone drum variant and Rs. 79,970 for the dual-tone disc variant in Delhi. These prices make the Star City Plus an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a feature-packed commuter bike. The pricing is well-aligned with its competitors, such as the Bajaj Platina 110 and Hero Splendor Plus, making it a strong contender in the 110cc segment.
