Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Star City Plus Kick Start BS4 is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and fuel-efficient commuter motorcycle in India. While it may not stand out in terms of power or refinement, it excels in areas that matter most to the average commuter, such as mileage and comfort. The bikes handling is commendable, especially in urban environments, making it a great option for navigating through heavy traffic. However, the lack of refinement in the engine and the somewhat outdated semi-digital instrument cluster are notable drawbacks. Despite these, the Star City Plus offers good value for money, a vast service network, and a comfortable riding experience, making it a viable option for daily commuting.
Price
The TVS Star City Plus Kick Start BS4, although discontinued, was priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price in Delhi was around 46,053. When considering the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and road tax, the total would have been slightly higher, typically ranging between 52,000 to 55,000 depending on the state and local taxes. Given its features and performance, the pricing was reasonable, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a reliable commuter bike.
