General information and overview
The Terra A4000i is an electric scooter that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014 by Terra Motors, a Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer. This scooter is powered by a 48V lithium battery that takes 4.5 hours to charge fully and offers a range of 65 km. It features disc brakes at both the front and rear, ensuring good braking performance. The scooter has a top speed of 65 kmh and weighs 118 kg, with the battery alone weighing 16 kg. One of its standout features is the integration with an iPhone, allowing users to monitor vital information such as power consumption and battery status on the go. Expert opinion and recommendation
The Terra A4000i is a pioneering electric scooter that made its mark at the Auto Expo 2014. From my perspective, this scooter stands out for its innovative features and robust specifications. The integration with an iPhone to display vital information such as electricity consumption, remaining battery, and GPS navigation is a significant selling point. However, the compatibility being limited to iPhone users might be a drawback for some potential buyers. The scooters performance, with a top speed of 65 kmh and a range of 65 km on a single charge, is respectable for daily commuting. The removable lithium battery, which can be charged in 4.5 hours, adds convenience. Overall, the Terra A4000i is a solid choice for those looking for an eco-friendly and technologically advanced scooter, but it may not be the best fit for everyone due to its specific smartphone compatibility and relatively high weight.

Pricing details and changes
The Terra A4000i is expected to be priced around 1.10 lakhs ex-showroom in India, although this figure may vary depending on the region and local taxes. On-road prices would likely be higher, possibly in the range of 1.20 to 1.30 lakhs, considering registration, insurance, and other costs. While this pricing is competitive in the electric scooter segment, it is still on the higher side compared to some conventional scooters. However, the advanced technology, long battery life, and the convenience of a removable battery might justify the cost for many buyers. Its important to note that these prices are estimates and actual costs may differ when the scooter is available in the market.
Fuel efficiency information
The Terra A4000i offers a mileage of around 65 km on a single charge, which is quite satisfactory for daily commuting needs. The lithium batterys long life cycle of 50,000 km further enhances the scooters value, reducing the need for frequent battery replacements. This makes the A4000i a cost-effective option in the long run, especially considering the lower running costs associated with electric vehicles.
