Mahindra Zesto 110

About
The Mahindra Zesto 110 was designed to be a unisex scooter with an aggressive yet appealing design. It featured a single-cylinder 110cc engine, producing 8 PS of power and 9 Nm of torque, paired with a variomatic transmission (CVT). The scooter included notable features such as a telescopic front suspension, steel wheels, and a wraparound taillamp with integrated turn signals. The front apron had pseudo air vents and trapezoidal clear lens turn signals, giving it a distinctive look. The Zesto also boasted a low seat height, an analogue instrument cluster, and a large fuel tank capacity. Although it never entered the market, these specifications suggested that it would have been a strong contender in the competitive 110cc scooter segment in India.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Zesto 110, although it never made it to the market as anticipated, showed promising features that could have made it a strong contender in the 110cc scooter segment. With its aggressive design, inspired by the Kinetic Blaze, and features like a telescopic front suspension, steel wheels, and a unique quadrilateral display of the headlamp and blinkers, it had the potential to appeal to a wide range of buyers. The scooter was expected to offer a comfortable ride with its low seat height, making it accessible to female riders, and its analogue instrument cluster provided all the necessary information at a glance. However, the lack of alloy wheels and some concerns about service and spare parts availability might have been drawbacks. Overall, if it had been launched, the Zesto 110 could have been a viable option for those seeking a stylish and feature-rich scooter.
Price
The Mahindra Zesto 110 was expected to be priced competitively in the Indian market, with estimates suggesting an ex-showroom price between INR 45,000 to INR 47,000. This pricing strategy was in line with Mahindras approach to offer value-for-money products. On-road prices would have varied slightly depending on the state and local taxes, but it would have remained within the same competitive bracket as other 110cc scooters like the TVS Jupiter and Honda Activa. This pricing made it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a feature-packed scooter without breaking the bank.
Latest Updates
Friday, 20 September 2024 06:44 PM Mahindras upcoming 110cc scooter, the Zesto, has been spotted completely undisguised during its test runs, indicating a imminent launch. The scooter features a unisex design similar to the Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter, with a front apron sporting trapezoidal clear lens turn signals and air scoops inspired by the Kinetic Blaze. I think this design will appeal to a broad audience.
Sunday, 31 August 2014 01:41 PM The Mahindra Zesto is expected to be powered by a single cylinder 110cc motor, producing 8 PS of maximum power and 9 Nm of peak torque, mated to a variomatic transmission (CVT). The fuel efficiency is anticipated to be around 60 kmpl. This engine spec should provide a good balance between power and fuel efficiency.
Sunday, 31 August 2014 05:35 AM The Zesto will feature a telescopic front suspension and steel wheels instead of alloys, which could help keep the price lower. The rear of the scooter includes a wraparound taillamp with integrated clear-lens turn signals. This practical approach to design and materials could make it more affordable for buyers.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 08:25 AM Mahindra has confirmed that the Zesto will come in three colors: red, white, and black. The scooter also features a low seat height to make it accessible for female riders. The instrument cluster is an analogue unit with a speedometer and fuel indicator. I believe these features will make it user-friendly for a wide range of riders.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 12:20 AM The Mahindra Zesto is speculated to be priced around Rs 45,000-47,000, making it competitive in the 110cc scooter segment against models like the TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa 110, and Hero Pleasure. This pricing strategy could help Mahindra gain a significant market share.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 11:16 AM The Zesto has been internally known as G101 but will be officially called Zesto upon launch. It has been spied several times during test drives, showing off its pseudo air vents beside the blinkers, reminiscent of the Kinetic Blaze. I think this nostalgic touch will be appealing to some buyers.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 02:08 PM The scooter is expected to have a generous storage space, including a large under-seat storage compartment, retractable hooks, and pocket storage just below the instrument cluster. These storage features will be highly useful for daily commuters.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 07:02 PM Mahindra has kept the specifications of the Zesto well under wraps, but it is rumored to have a similar 110cc Centuro engine, producing a maximum power of 8.38 BHP and peak torque of 8.5 Nm. This engine performance should be adequate for urban riding.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 10:12 AM The Mahindra Zesto will feature an analogue instrument cluster with a quadrilateral display consisting of the headlamp and blinkers on the side. The rear tail lamp integrates the brake lamp and blinkers, giving it a bold appearance. I think the design elements are well thought out.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 03:00 PM The launch of the Mahindra Zesto is anticipated to be soon, following the completion of final testings. The company is expected to announce the release date once all tests are completed. This upcoming launch is generating significant interest in the scooter market.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 08:05 AM The fuel efficiency of the Mahindra Zesto 110 was projected to be around 60 kmpl, which is competitive in the 110cc scooter segment. This mileage would have helped in keeping running costs low, making it an economical choice for daily commuters. However, actual mileage could vary based on riding conditions and maintenance of the scooter.

Mahindra has launched a wide range of two wheelers in the month of August, 2014. Now, the company is all set to launch the new Zesto 110 (codenamed G101) in a few days. The scooter will be best in its class with a fuel economy of 60 kmpl. The Zesto has got a modern outlook and certain noticeable features. The main rivals of Zesto will be Hero Pleasure, TVS Scooty Zest, TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro and Honda Activa-i. Let us figure out what it will get.

The Mahindra Zesto has got a headlamp cluster which is quite similar to the Honda Activa that imparts bold looks. The scooter also bears a dialog-analogue instrument cluster in a semi-circular design. The wraparound tail lights give it a chunky and bold profile. The overall design of the Zesto is more of a unisex design but favours both the sexes. Mahindra Zesto will also get an optional glove-box on the scooter. It will also get some steel rims, conventionally shaped grab rail, company logo on the front apron, MRF Nylogrip tyres, alloy wheels and a wider seat.

The Mahindra Zesto is expected to be powered by 110cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that would produce a power of 8 bhp and a torque of 9 Nm. The engine will be paired to an automatic transmission. The scooter can get disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear end in the top trim only. The Zesto will also feature an auto lock mechanism and flip key. It is expected to be dipped in three shades which are Black, Red and White. The expected ex-showroom, Delhi price of this scooter is Rs. 46,000 approx., may vary.
