Mahindra Centuro Disc Brake Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Mahindra Centuro has always been struggling to find its right place in the automobile industry, specifically its commuter entry level segment. The segment expands itself from INR 35,000 to INR 55,000. Mahindra has placed its various variants between this price range, competing the Hero's Splendor and Passion bikes. The newest addition to the range comes in the form of Centuro with a disc brake, making it the most affordable bike with a disc brake. The features offered in the Centuro are all new and exist nowhere in the segment bikes or even not in the bikes near to INR 1,00,000.
Design & Style
The design of the bike remains exactly the same as the on-going top model, making way for a better approach with its petal disc brake. The bike comes with the same iconic golden ribs by Mahindra, usage of chrome at proper places and a design which speaks itself above its price range. The bike comes with attractive stickers and a muscular tank compared to the segment bikes.
Engine & Performance
The Centuro comes with a 106.7 cc motor, producing 8.5 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 8.5 NM @ 5500 rpm. The gearbox stays to be the 4-speed traditional box, whereas the 12.70 liter of fuel tank comes with a range of 750 km on a single refill to the top. The overall weight stays at 120 kg, with a 173 mm of exciting clearance under the body.
Brakes & Suspension
The braking on this new Centuro is handled by a petal disc brake at the front whereas the rear is handled by a drum brake measuring 130 mm. The suspension work is in the hands of telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable, coiled hydraulic damped suspension at the rear.
Comfort and Safety
Centuro comes with class leading features like remote flip key with anti-theft alarm, which provides safety to the bike everywhere. Guide lamps and find me lamps help the rider to stay convenient all the time, making it easy to find the bike in huge parking and walking to the door in low light conditions.
Shades & Ex-showroom Price
The shades available in the bike are Black, White, with a price tag of INR 51,250. The convenience added through a disc brake makes this ride a perfect partner for city as well as highway running conditions.

User Reviews for Mahindra Centuro
Mahindra Centuro Bike
Mahindra Centuro Red Color Bike. I have been using it since 2013, This is one of the best bike for me. People may not believe that after buying only free Servicing has been done and after that, I just changed engine oils as per the needs. Till today my bike is in new condition. The color is the same. Even i have not at all changed any parts. Thanks to Mahindra. I have a request to you must have service center for this particular bike. Thanks.
Mahindra Centuro NXT is superb
80 kmpl of mileage, smooth ride quality and impressive acceleration makes it a superb package. It even rides well in hilly areas.
Best Features: Good looks and mileage
Pros: Good pickup
Cons: No complaints
Never Expected Such a Bad Vehicle from Mahindra
The worst Bike that ever had. The engine is just like the engine of Scooty. Vehicle gets vibrate after getting speed of 40 KM/hr. Very good and impressing overall look, but useless bike. Never go for this bike. I lost my Rs.51000/-
Best Features: Nothing to say about good features
Pros: Overall shape
Cons: The worst Bike that ever had. The engine is just like the engine of Scooty
WORSE THAN THE WORST BIKE
I purchased Pantero in 2013 in Chennai and since purchase to till date, it is giving a lot of troubles. Very horrible bike and it is a curse to purchase this bike. I am told by the showroom people that Centuro too is having similar type of engine and other specifications except few. Therefore I request every one not to purchase the Centuro. For poor performance of Pantero, I am going to file a complaint against Mahindra in consumer forum. My email is kslnarain@gmail.com and contact no. 98814154888.
Best Features: ONLY LOOKS AND SEAT LENGTH
Pros: NOTHING TO SAY
Cons: MANY THINGS TO BE DISLIKED
Not a Worthy Investment
Buying a bike was not an easy decision for me. I was quite confused while purchasing new bike so after long research I was planning to go with Mahindra Centuro. Looks and design wise, I am quite satisfied and happy with my motorcycle. Its elegant looks and whole muscular body looks great and it fully satisfy my needs. It has a comfortable pillion seat but needs more improvement specially for the rider. It offers a maximum speed of 105 kmph. The motorcycle does not vibrate up to 70 kmph but as you moves higher and cross 75+ kmph it starts vibrating. It is equipped with 18-inch wheels, it's ride and handling balance is terrific. If you are searching for a bike with a good mileage this bike is definitely not meant for you, and the engine also does not seem to give you a tension free ride in the long run, but the looks and features may attract you and another positive thing for the bike is it's pricing.
Best Features: Stylish & Economical
Pros: Economical, comfortable pillion seat, stylish
Cons: Vibration
