User Reviews for KTM Duke (2012)
Insane power in KTM RC390
The only problem with this bike is its heating nature.
Best Features: ABS, USD Forks, Ride by Wire
Pros: Everything
Cons: Heating Problem
KTM RC390 is Value for Money
The bike has Got everything a rider wants. You can take it for touring and as well as for daily commute. The bike has so much power stored in it. Everyone is seeing its competition with ninja 300 and Yamaha r3 but if you see there prices are nearly double of it and they are twin cylinder bikes and this one is single cylinder bike . The heating problem is due to the single cylinder as the bike has too powerful engine with single cylinder but if you see the performance than this bike has got way too much than its rivals. If you want sporty looks with abs safety and high performance this one is for you.
Best Features: Console, Ride by Wire.
Pros: Ride By Wire, Abs , Brakes, Console, Looks, Build Quality, Power, and everything
Cons: Heating Problem and Mileage
Bike for the Real Rider
The KTM 390 Duke is a wonderful bike. It delivers an awesome riding experience and it takes no time at going higher speeds. The handling is quite good but it takes me some time to get used to it. On the clear roads there are no any engine issues but in the case of traffic jam, it heats up pretty quick. One more thing which goes against the bike is its horn and headlight. I would recommend to change the headlights and increase the horn intensity so that you stay safe.
Best Features: Ease in Handling and Looks
Pros: Appearance, Easy gear shifting, Handling
Cons: Weak horn & headlights, Lack of storage for kit/papers, Engine heating
A Street Bike Designed For Paved Roads
The KTM 390 Duke is a beast of motorcycle. It is light weight and you can handle it comfortably. The most important thing is that it generates a good torque value which makes your journey enjoyable on streets and safe om highways. Look wise it is quite attractive which will definitely encourage you to buy it. It has a great engine which offers more power in comparison to other beginner bikes. The braking system is quite impressive which is the standout feature of this bike. Coming to the downside, you will notice that the fuel tank capacity is quite low where cannot expect long tours. The clutch is too heavy and the quality of wheels are also not good. On the other hand, the throttle response of this machine is rough, especially at low rev ranges. The another issue with this bike is engine oil which sometimes starts leaking which reduces the oil level.
Best Features: Excellent Brakes & Eye Catching Looks
Pros: Eye catching looks, powerful engine, excellent brakes, light weight
Cons: Low fuel tank capacity, heavy clutch, rough throttle, bad wheel quality, engine oil problem
