Kawasaki Versys 1100
About
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is a sports adventure touring motorcycle that has been significantly upgraded from its predecessor. It features a 1099cc inline-four engine, which now produces 135PS at 9,000rpm and 112Nm of torque at 7,600rpm, thanks to internal changes such as increased stroke length, higher compression, new camshafts, and an improved air-intake system. Our take on this /// Verdict
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is a significant upgrade in the adventure touring segment, and it has certainly made a strong case for itself in the Indian market. With a more powerful 1100cc inline-four engine producing 135PS and 112Nm of torque, this bike offers a substantial boost in performance compared to its predecessor. The design, though largely unchanged, retains its sharp and aggressive look, which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The addition of advanced features like dual-channel ABS, traction control, and multiple ride modes enhances both safety and riding experience. The price reduction of almost Rs 1 lakh makes it an even more compelling option, positioning it competitively against other adventure tourers like the BMW F 900 XR and Triumph Tiger 850 Sport. Overall, the Versys 1100 is a powerful, feature-rich, and now more affordable choice for those looking for a capable long-distance touring motorcycle.
Price
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 is priced at Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is a notable reduction from its previous price, making it almost Rs 1 lakh cheaper. This strategic pricing places the Versys 1100 in a sweet spot within the Indian market, offering liter-class performance and features at a price point that is more competitive with some mid-range options. When calculating the on-road price, you can expect to add around Rs 1.16 lakh for RTO and Rs 36,765 for insurance, bringing the total on-road price to approximately Rs 14.42 lakh. This pricing makes the Versys 1100 an attractive proposition for riders who want a high-performance adventure tourer without the hefty price tag of some European alternatives.
Mileage
Monday, 17 February 2025 12:30 PM
The Kawasaki Versys 1100 offers an ARAI claimed mileage of 17.85 kmpl, which is reasonable given its powerful 1100cc engine. For riders concerned about mileage and running costs, this figure suggests that the bike is designed to balance performance with efficiency. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient option in its class, the Versys 1100s mileage is sufficient for long-distance touring, especially considering its robust engine and feature-rich package.
