Honda has announced a limited-edition Transalp SP variant, exclusively for Spain and Portugal, featuring a beefy upper crash bar, a lower crash bar, and a large skid plate for enhanced off-road protection. This variant also includes a revised graphics package but does not offer any additional power or electronic safety features. I think this special edition could appeal to serious off-road enthusiasts.

The 2024 Honda Transalp XL750 has been praised for its versatile riding experience, excelling in urban, highway, mountain, and off-road settings. It features a 755cc Unicam engine, long-travel suspension, and a 5-inch TFT display with five ride modes. Hondas Transalp XL750 boasts impressive electronics, including a full suite of rider modes (Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel, and User) and integrated safety features like Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and ABS. The bikes 755cc parallel-twin engine delivers 83 horsepower and 55 lb-ft of torque, making it punchy and responsive. The quick shifter and rev-matching capabilities add to its appeal. I think the electronics package is a significant selling point.

The Transalp XL750 features a Rally-inspired aerodynamic bodywork and spoked wheels, which are ideal for off-road performance. The bike has a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, offering a wide range of tire options. The long-travel front suspension, provided by the Showa SFF-CA inverted fork, ensures excellent on- and off-road handling. I believe the spoked wheels are a great choice for adventure riding.

Honda has reintroduced the Transalp to the US market after more than three decades, with the new model featuring significant upgrades such as dual-piston sliding calipers for improved braking and modern wheel sizes (21/18 inches). The bike also includes a Quick Shifter that works both up and down the gearbox, enhancing the riding experience. I think the return of the Transalp is a welcome move for adventure bike enthusiasts.

The 2024 Honda Transalp XL750 is priced at $9,999, with an additional $600 destination charge. It offers great value for money, considering its credentials, including a 755cc parallel-twin engine, six-speed gearbox with quick shifter, and advanced electronics. Optional features like heated grips are also available, which can be particularly useful in colder climates. I think the pricing is competitive and attractive.

The Transalp XL750s engine design, featuring Hondas Unicam single overhead cam with four valves per cylinder, provides a compact cylinder head for optimal engine placement and superior performance. This design is similar to what is used in Hondas Africa Twin and CRF450R models. I believe this engine design is a key factor in the bikes performance and reliability.

The bikes comfort has been enhanced with a supportive and comfortable seat, designed for both aggressive cornering and high mileage. The Transalp XL750 has been tested in various conditions, including twisty back roads and off-road trails, and has performed admirably. The bikes chassis, suspension, and Bridgestone Battle Adventure Trail AX41 tires work well together to handle different terrains. I believe the bikes versatility is one of its strongest points.

Hondas decision to include optional heated grips on the Transalp XL750 has been well-received, especially for riders in colder climates. This feature, along with the bikes overall design and performance, makes it a compelling option for adventure riders. I think the heated grips are a thoughtful addition.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |

The Honda XL750 Transalp strikes a fine balance between on-road comfort and off road capability. It is parallel twin engine delivers ample power for both highway cruising and tackling trails. The bike's relatively low seat height is a boon for shorter riders. However, the stock tires could be more off-road oriented.
