MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW | |
Vehicle Overview | Honda SFA 150 is a concept model that carries a 149.5cc engine, producing 16.9 BHP and 13 Nm of torque. It looked more like a premium version of a typical street bike, carrying a fuel injected and liquid cooled engine. The bike came with full digital instrument console, rear disc brake and USD front forks. It may never enter production as Honda currently sells a successful model named CB Hornet around the segment, which is loosely based on the SFA concept. |

Honda SFA 150 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Honda has been a reliable player in the automotive game from a long period of time. It has an impressive record of having a successful machine in nearly every segment of two wheelers and for the street fighter segment they present the new SFA 150. The SFA 150 is expected to be powered by a 149.5 cc engine producing 16.9 BHP @ 10,500 rpm and 13 NM @ 7500 rpm. The engine will be liquid cooled one. It is clubbed to a 6-speed manual transmission and the lightweight frame of the Honda SFA 150 will make it a powerhouse for sure.
The styling has been clear cut naked with all the potentials of an impressive street bike. From its muscular tank to its oddly shaped front light, it has a bit of difference from all the available street bikes. Both front and rear gets a disc brake option with a larger one on the front and a smaller one at the rear. Suspension is being handled by upside down telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The bike is expected to cost INR 1,10,000 and is expected to be available in 4-5 shades.
FAQs
-
How does the Honda SFA 150 inform the ongoing discussion about motorcycle noise in the urban environment?
24 January 2025 10:01I believe that this design could open the door to some innovative exhaust technology. What if they could tailor the sound to be detectable to nearby vehicles but less obtrusive to the rest of the world?
-
Could the Honda SFA 150 start a trend of ‘modular’ motorcycles?
24 January 2025 10:01It’s an interesting concept, but I wonder if it will take away from the ‘soul’ of motorcycling. It's also part of the appeal—that the bike is a cohesive, purpose-built machine, not a collection of parts that can be swapped out.
-
Will the Honda SFA 150’s unique design draw new riders or drive traditionalists away?
24 January 2025 10:01You're all missing the point. This is not a design for traditional riders; it’s a design for a whole new category of urban mobility. It could be huge in Asia and Europe.
-
Is the Honda SFA 150 the ultimate urban commuter?
24 January 2025 10:01The SFA 150 is cool looking, but I'm not sure I want to put it on my body. However, that underseat exhaust might get the seat uncomfortably hot while riding in traffic for a long time. And good luck finding aftermarket luggage options for that unique rear end design.
-
Could the Honda SFA 150 change the face of motorcycle parking in crowded cities?
24 January 2025 10:01I'm skeptical. Of course it will in some places, but most cities are having trouble keeping up with maintaining their current infrastructure. It seems unlikely that we'll add a whole new category of parking.
-
Could the Honda SFA 150 change the face of motorcycle parking in crowded cities?
24 January 2025 10:01This works really well with public transit. Imagine your SFA 150 parked easily at the train station; you ride your bike to the train station and continue your journey. It would solve the "last mile" problem.

What are launch plans of Honda SFA 150 in India?
02 January 2023 06:36Honda SFA 150 may launch as an all new premium naked 150 cc offering with liquid cooling and fuel injection but the production name is expected to stay different from its concept name. It would most probable use the CBR150R engine specs and due its lower overall weight, would prove to be a better sprinter. It can launch with a price tag of INR 1,10,000 and due to Honda's new scooter only factory, production of new bikes becomes more easy at other plants for the 2 wheeler manufacturer.
