The Navi features a unique design with a vacant space below the traditional fuel tank position, 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels, and tubeless tyres. It has a lightweight body made of plastics, weighing around 100 kg, which enhances its agility and ease of handling. Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda Navi CBS is a unique and intriguing offering in the Indian two-wheeler market. Its design, which blends elements of both scooters and motorcycles, makes it stand out from the crowd. The Navis 109.19cc engine, borrowed from the Activa, provides a refined and smooth riding experience, especially in city traffic. The vehicles lightweight construction and agile handling make it a joy to maneuver through congested urban roads. However, the lack of ABS and the small fuel tank capacity are notable drawbacks. Despite being discontinued, the Navi remains a fun and efficient option for those seeking a reliable and stylish commuter vehicle.
Price
The Honda Navi CBS was priced at Rs 47,110 (ex-showroom Delhi) before it was discontinued. On-road prices would have varied depending on the state and local taxes, but you could expect to pay around Rs 51,000 to Rs 53,000, including registration, insurance, and other costs. Given its unique design and the fact that it offers the same engine as the Activa at a lower price point, the Navi presented a compelling value proposition for buyers looking for an affordable and distinctive two-wheeler.

Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 09:49 AM The Honda Navi CBS offers a mileage of around 37.57 kmpl, according to Hondas claims. This is decent for a 110cc engine, making it a viable option for daily commuters concerned about running costs. Honda Navi CBS Review

Design and Style

The first look at the machine would make you think if it is a motorcycle or a moped but as soon as you reach closer, you can notice that it is a scooter sized motorcycle with around same seat height and driving dynamics. Honda Navi 110 comes with a vacant space below the traditional fuel tank position, which is expected to carry a removable storage as seen in some concepts around the motor shows. Navi uses a 12 inch front wheel whereas the rear measures 10 inch in size. The tyres are standard Activa sized and the same is being offered in 5 eye catchy colors: Patriot Red, Hooper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black.

Dimensions and Instrument Console

Honda Navi measures 1805 mm in length, 748 mm in width and 1039 mm in height. The seat height measures 765 mm and wheelbase is 1286 mm. The ground clearance of Navi 110 is 156 mm. It weighs just 101 kg and comes with a fuel tank of just 3.8 liters. The instrument console of Honda Navi is too basic with just an analog speedometer and an analog odometer. Quite surprisingly, this all-new moto-scooter from Honda doesn't come equipped with a fuel gauge.

Engine and Gearbox

Honda Navi is powered by a 109.2 cc engine powering nearly every Honda motorcycle and scooter in the commuter segment. It produces a max of 8 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 8.96 NM @ 5,500 rpm. It comes with the same V-Matic automatic transmission which is used in Honda scooters.

Variants and Bookings

Honda Navi 110 is available in one single variant for now, though Honda says that Navi is very customizable and you can opt for different body options and coloured body panels. Three custom variants of Honda Navi 110 were also showcased at 2016 Autp Expo. The variants are known as Navi Street, Navi Adventure and Navi off-road. You need to download the Honda Navi mobile phone app to book this moto-scooter bike for you.

Price

The starting price for Honda Navi 110 is Rs. 39,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), and pre-bookings for the same are now open. Honda Navi seems to be a very good option at this price point, if one is looking for a unique 2-wheeler to stand out from the crowd.

Verdict

Honda offers a great package as you can get the same engine as a Honda Activa for around INR 10,000 less than its ex-showroom price. This time, Honda has broken the traditional offering style with Navi 110 and presented an all-new type of last mile connectivity machine. The lightweight and innovative design when added up to its low cost can easily make it a successful product. Honda is working hard on changing the mindset of the Indian riders and soon we can have bigger machines like PCX, if the Honda's experiment of changing the tradition goes right with the masses.

Ideal bike for city driving and short trips

Rahul Singh Oinam | 2 years ago

The Honda Navi is an ideal bike for city driving and short trips with a pillion. It is designed to tackle the Monkey bike segment in India which is not currently offered by any other manufacturer. It is inspired by the MX125/Grom from the same Honda stable and it was actually researched and developed in India by Honda India engineers. The performance of the bike is great as per the specifications, although riding for more than 25 kms with a pillion can be a bit cramped.

Honda Navi is one of the most disgusting scooters in the world

The Honda Navi is one of the most disgusting scooters in the world. It has many electric issues, and can only go 12000 km before it has to be stopped. This is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this scooter to anyone.

Great choice for those looking for a reliable and efficient moped

The Honda Navi is a great choice for those looking for a reliable and efficient moped. It offers good power for a 100 cc engine, and the mileage is impressive at 45 km/ltr. The only downside is the small fuel tank, which can be inconvenient. It is also not the best bike for tall people. However, with its one-handed condition and only 7000 km of running, it is definitely a good investment. I wish Honda would revamp the existing models to be fitted with ABS and a higher engine capacity.

Great experience with the Honda Navi

Monika Singh | 2 years ago

I have had a great experience with the Honda Navi. It has been reliable, efficient and comfortable. The mileage is great and I have not had any problems with it. The only issue I have had is that the back tire is smaller than the front tire, which makes it difficult to get around on uneven terrain. Additionally, I have been unable to find a headlight cover for the Navi for over two years now. I have asked many garages and no one has been able to find one. This is why I think Honda Navi parts should be more readily available for those who need them.

Unstable to wind at higher speeds

The Honda Navi offers a good suspension, but due to its light kerb weight, it can be unstable to wind at higher speeds. However, it is still much better than the average scooter. The driving experience is overall very good, with good mileage and a good pick-up. The Navi also offers a comfortable ride at a very affordable price. This makes it a great choice for riders who are looking for an affordable, reliable, and hassle-free ride.
