Hero Splendor Pro Classic Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Once dead, the time of cafe racers again comes up, with every bike customized in order to be what the originals were at their time. The classic approach of a Cafe racer fascinated the modern human in such a way that manufacturers have started producing them at mass production level.
One of them in India is the Splendor Pro Classic, India's own cafe racer. The Royal Enfield Continental GT was the first one to be launched as a cafe racer, which people desired to have with them. The price was too much for a normal rider, making the same craze fall on the Splendor Pro Classic at its launch.
Design & Style
A totally different definition of style, the Hero's cafe racer is a blend of classic look with every basic technology required by commuters for their daily life driving. It comes with a lot of chrome, as the decade old models like CD 100 and Boxer. The chrome clearly justifies its purpose of manufacturing, remembering those old golden days.
The headlight stays round and the seat comes up as a single seat arrangement. A curved round piece of plastic declares the tail section of the bike, with its standard skinny tyres with spoke wheels remaining the same as usual. The chrome mirrors add up to its classic heritage and makes it a really different product in the segment. The single stylish seat differentiates it from all the classic looking offerings in the market.
Instrument Console
The chrome ringed bowls of the Splendor Pro have been carried over to its cafe Racer version. The left holds the speedometer and the odometer and the right one has a fuel gauge and pro badging inside it. The tachometer is missing from the whole scenario.
Engine & Performance
The engine on the Classic cafe racer remains the same like other Splendor bikes under production. The 97.2 cc unit produces 8.2 BHP @ 8000 rpm and 8.05 NM @ 5000 rpm. The performance of the bike is equal compared to the cousins but due to its single seat arrangement, the single rider driving condition will make it partially fuel efficient and responsive to the throttle. The engine returns a very impressive mileage of 60-70 kmpl and the 11 litre fuel tank allows it to be on long rides anytime.
Brakes & Suspension
The suspension work on the Hero Splendor Pro cafe racer is handled by hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and the conventional swing arm with 5 step adjustability at the rear. The braking has been kept passive with the same 130 mm drum brakes for the front and 110mm for rear of the bike. Spoke wheels for a classic appeal have been used on the new cafe racer. It comes with a neat 180 mm of ground clearance and a 785 mm of seat height.
Shades & Ex-showroom Price
The Splendor Pro Classic is available in two shades namely Solid Maroon and Candy Black with a price tag of INR 50,500. The bike is one of its kinds in a 100 cc segment and turn heads for sure when running on the road.

User Reviews for Hero Splendor Pro
Definitely everyone has to trust on Splendor Pro
Weight, pickup, engine and long driving efficiency are best. I have driven it nonstop 3 to 4 hours on NH4 many times.
Best Features: Carrier helps to carry luggage. Helps farmers to carry bags
Pros: Engine quality, built quality, mileage
Cons: Sound after releasing clutch
Not up to mark
I think after separation from honda, Hero has lost its grip over quality of commuter bikes. They boast 70 kmpl and above but I get only 45-55 mileage riding at economy speed. On highway it gives nearly 60 kmpl at constant economy speed. Its seat is irritating, after 30 km riding you don't want to ride, poor suspension. Only thing beat is acceleration and speed comparing small engine. It won't start by self start but you have to kick at early morning. I don't suggest this bike for purchase.
Best Features: Handling is best.
Pros: Handling, acceleration
Cons: Mileage, poor customer service, uncomfortable, poor suspension
Retro Style Motorcycle at a Budget
One of the best bike to ride. Its overall height make it easy to handle in heavy traffic. One flat seat is comfortable for long tours. It returns me 60-70 kmpl mileage which is my major reason to purchase this bike. I am happy to own this motorcycle.
Best Features: Mileage and Comfort
Pros: Price, Comfort, Style, Performance, Mileage
Cons: No Pillion seat
Economical Classy Bike
This is all new class looking bike. The throttle response of the motorcycle is quicker and sudden in nature as compared to other Splendor variants. Its kerb weight is low which makes it handy in city riding. The ergonomics is typical commuter-ish with comfortable front foot pegs, upward seating position and easily reachable handlebars. This bike is budget friendly and is fuel efficient and gives me a mileage of 61 to 65 km/l in cities and 68 to 73 km/l on highways. The bike has no front disc which is essential if we see the Indian road conditions and centre stand is also not present which can be a hurdle in the comfort of pillion rider.
Best Features: Fuel Efficient & Excellent Mileage
Pros: Refined APDV engine, excellent mileage, superb styling, value for money, fuel efficient, handling comfort, low kerb weight
Cons: No front disc, no centre stand, akwardly set front foot pegs, single seater
Hero Splendor Pro Classic Discussion
What is rake or trail of this bike?
the feel is different with this bike as hero motor cop has done great work by creating splendar pro classic but does'nt mean you can create the old look
by creating this types of bike i did'nt got that feel.
97.2 cc engine, Drum brakes & this is a café RACER(?) bike...Wahhh
copy of royal enfield continental gt.......aahem copy cat hero motors...
Its looks like Yamaha RX 100. If its a two seater Cafe Racer that could made it success. Enfield Cafe Racer is also failed in the market coz of ONE SEAT.
its all the same, but seating gives it a great look, differnt from all other hero bikes. i feel front part should be made heavy, and its only 99cc
Nice Bike for the Lovers of Cafe Racer & RD350 :)
what will be the On Road Cost? and when it will be Launch?
Whats the Mileage???
