Though the price hike may seem steep for 100cc buyers, I feel these tech upgrades justify the premium and keep the Splendor competitive.

Hero’s introduction of multiple trims under the Splendor Plus range, including drum and disc brake variants with subtle cosmetic differences, allows customers to pick the option best suited to their budget and preferences. The variety also strengthens its position against rivals like TVS Star City Plus and Honda Shine 100. I think this flexible approach caters well to diverse Indian commuter needs.

The Splendor Plus still holds strong in the market with its split 4-speed gearbox and comfortable riding dynamics favored by daily commuters. The suspension setup remains telescopic at the front and twin shocks at the rear, ensuring a tried-and-tested ride quality. From my experience, this combination keeps the bike reliable and easy to maintain for first-time owners.

The bike now features side graphics for a sportier look, a revised pillion grab rail, and a luggage rack in some trims.
