Latest Updates
Friday, 31 May 2024 12:02 AM Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Splendor. The bike is priced at Rs 82,911 (ex-showroom) and features minor cosmetic updates, an LED headlamp with H-shaped DRLs, a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB charging port. I think these updates make the Splendor more appealing to modern buyers while retaining its classic charm.
Wednesday, 01 January 2020 03:38 AM In early 2020, Hero updated the Splendor range to meet BS6 standards, introducing catalytic converters, fuel injection, and oxygen sensors. This update reduced the power by 0.3 bhp but enhanced the bikes environmental compliance. I believe this move was crucial for the Splendors continued success in the Indian market.
Saturday, 01 January 2011 05:57 PM The Hero Splendor Pro, launched in 2011, was a significant update that introduced a self-start feature, new graphics, and a premium analogue speedometer. This model was known for its stability and was part of the Spendor lage aisa, family jaisa campaign, promoting the bike as a family commuter. I think this campaign really resonated with Indian families.
Thursday, 01 January 2009 02:35 PM In 2009, the Splendor family achieved a sales milestone of 1 crore, leading to the launch of a special edition with an all-black paint job for the body, engine, and alloy wheels. This special edition was a tribute to the bikes enduring popularity.
Monday, 01 January 2007 03:33 PM The Hero Splendor NXG was launched in 2007 with sporty looks, dual-tone body graphics, 5-spoke alloy wheels, and a metallic paint job. Although the NXG model did not gain much traction, it marked an attempt to appeal to younger buyers. I think the design was ahead of its time but didnt quite fit the markets needs then.
Saturday, 01 January 2005 10:42 AM In 2005, Hero launched the Super Splendor with a larger 125cc engine, producing 10 bhp and offering 55 kmpl. This expansion of the Splendor line-up catered to those seeking more power without compromising on fuel efficiency.
Thursday, 01 January 2004 02:00 AM The first major update to the Splendor came in 2004 with the launch of the Splendor+, which included new color schemes, updated graphics, multi-reflector lights, and the option of alloy wheels. This update helped maintain the bikes market relevance.
Saturday, 01 January 1994 04:44 PM Initially launched in 1994, the Hero Splendor quickly became a best-seller in India due to its fuel efficiency and reliability. It was the successor to the Hero Honda CD 100 and marked a significant shift towards four-stroke engines in the Indian market. I think this was a game-changer for commuter bikes in India.

The Most Fuel Efficient Bike

I have bought Hero Splendor iSmart Self a year ago. It is the most fuel efficient bike in its class. It is my first bike. I am satisfied with this most fuel efficient bike. Hero has introduced new i3s technology to this bike which is related to start/stop smart technology. It gives good mileage of 102.50 kmpl. It returns good economic value while you ride on this. Maintenance is also not very expensive. As hero has spread its web throughout the country so, you will find its service outlets very easily.

Best Features: Good Performance

Pros: Good Mileage, Comfortable Seat, Comfortable Riding

Cons: No disc brake option, i3S technology could be more user friendly

Hero Splendor iSmart is a best budget bike according to me. The ride quality it offers is good and it returns me 55 -60 kmpl mileage. I can handle it very comfortably even in Delhi traffic with back passenger. Its soft seats never give me back pain on long drives. Overall, its worth spending money on this bike.

I purchased my bike last year and till now I didn't face any problem with it. The handling and ride quality is perfect and I have done many long tours on my bike without any trouble. The mileage is good and gives me in between 40-60 kmpl. It is lightweight and is easy to handle. The alloy wheels are stylish which is the significant part of my bike. In comparison to old Splendor, the design of this model is quite interesting and you will never be disappointed with its looks. Last but not the least, it is a low cost bike which has good features under a nominal price range. The only drawback which I find in my bike is that it has no disc brake but overall it is a good motorcycle easily fits to any person's budget.

Best Features: Value for money & Fuel efficient

Pros: Refreshed look, value for money, fuel efficient, light weight, stylish alloy wheels

Cons: No disc brake
