Hero Pleasure Special Edition

About
The Hero Pleasure Special Edition is a scooter designed with a focus on female riders, though its appeal extends to a broader audience due to its lightweight and easy-to-handle nature. It features a 102cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that produces 6.9 HP at 7000 rpm and 8.10 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. The scooter has an automatic transmission, a seat height of 765 mm, and a ground clearance of 125 mm. It also boasts a kerb weight of 101 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 5 litres. The Pleasure comes with several convenient features such as an electric start, pillion footrest, and under-seat storage. The design is compact and stylish, with multiple color options available. However, the model has been discontinued, and users looking for similar features might need to consider the newer Hero Pleasure Plus 110.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Pleasure, particularly the Special Edition, is a scooter that has been tailored with a focus on comfort, style, and practicality, especially for female riders. While it excels in its lightweight and easy-to-handle nature, making it ideal for urban commuting, it does have some drawbacks. The scooters engine, though efficient, can be prone to vibrations at higher speeds, which might be a concern for some users. Additionally, the material quality and paint finish have been criticized by several users. However, its attractive design, decent mileage, and robust after-sales support from Hero MotoCorp make it a viable option for those seeking a reliable and stylish scooter. Overall, its a good choice for those prioritizing ease of use and everyday convenience, but it may not be the best fit for those looking for a smooth ride at higher speeds.
Price
The Hero Pleasure Special Edition, although discontinued, had an ex-showroom price of around Rs 45,600 in India before it was phased out. If you are considering purchasing a used or pre-owned model, the on-road price would depend on various factors such as the scooters condition, mileage, and location. For a used Hero Pleasure Special Edition, you might expect to pay anywhere between Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000, depending on these factors. Its important to note that prices can vary significantly based on the seller and the scooters overall condition. If youre in the market for a new scooter with similar features, you might want to consider the Hero Pleasure Plus 110, which is currently available with a starting price of around Rs 74,958.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 03:37 PM The Hero Pleasure is known for its good fuel efficiency, with users reporting an average mileage of around 52-54 kmpl in city conditions. This makes it a cost-effective option for daily commuting. However, the actual mileage can vary based on riding conditions, maintenance of the scooter, and driving habits. For those concerned about running costs, the Pleasures mileage is quite competitive in its class, making it a practical choice for urban riders.

A Must Buy

I am using this scooter from past three years and it is working fine without any issues. Initially the mileage was around 35 kmpl but after its first servicing it used to give around 45 kmpl. For rough and bad roads the suspension is pleasant. Pick up is also normal and goes smoothly on the economy speed range. It has adequate storage space and one can fill their helmet and still fit around 5kg of provision inside. The seat is large and and three persons can easily sit comfortably. Due to its light weight one can easily handle it easily in city traffic as well as on highway. The other good factor is its price which is quite affordable as compared to other scooters in this segment. The foot space also adds to the utility space. On the whole, it has more utility as compared to Access and Activa. Moving to the drawbacks, the paint quality and the plastic used is of inferior quality. You can see lots of scratches even after slight contact.

Best Features: Lightweight & Easy to Handle

Pros: Light weight, economical, good mileage, huge storage space, powerful engine, easy to handle

Cons: Bad paint quality

I am using Honda Pleasure from last three years. It is light in weight and comfortable to ride. It is easy to handle and it is suitable for youngsters as well as aged person. The thing which make it best for every age group is its height and weight. Yes, it vibrates after crossing speed of 70. So what I feel in my whole journey with this scooter is that, this machine is manufactured for smooth rides and slow speed lovers. It offers enough under seat storage for your daily stuff. Mileage wise, it is good and it delivers me 52-54 kmpl average on city roads. On the problematic side, I faced starting problem sometimes and in winters this problem is so frequent. Moreover, the material used on this scooter is not of good quality, I have to take extra care of it.

Best Features: Easy to handle

Pros: Looks, mileage, handling

Cons: Build quality, height
