Hero Passion Pro TR Off-Road
General information and overview
The Hero Passion Pro TR is a unique offering in the commuter motorcycle segment, designed to appeal to riders who need a bike for both daily commutes and occasional off-road adventures. Powered by a 97.2cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine, it produces 7.7 bhp of power and 8 Nm of torque, coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission. The bike features a double-cradle frame, stiffly damped suspension, and knobby tyres that enhance its off-road capabilities. Additional features include a headlamp grill, bash plate, knuckle guards, and a raised front fender, which give it a rugged look. With a seat height of 795 mm and a kerb weight of 119 kg, it is accessible and manageable for a wide range of riders. The bikes fuel tank capacity is 12.8 litres, and it comes with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. Overall, the Passion Pro TR is a practical and versatile motorcycle that combines the best of both worlds efficient commuting and mild off-road adventure.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Hero Passion Pro TR is a versatile motorcycle that caters to both the urban commuter and the occasional off-road enthusiast. While it may not be a hardcore off-roader, it offers a compelling blend of on-road comfort and mild off-road capabilities. The bikes ergonomics, with its upright seating position and wide handlebar, provide a comfortable ride. The 97.2cc engine, though not powerful, is smooth and refined, with well-sorted gearing that makes it suitable for daily commutes. The addition of off-road-oriented features like knobby tyres, a headlamp grill, and a bash plate enhances its aesthetic appeal and functionality. However, the bikes limitations, such as the lack of significant power and the dated 4-speed gearbox, are notable. Overall, its a practical choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile commuter bike that can handle occasional off-road excursions.

When it comes to the value for money product range, Hero wins it all with everything ranging from commuter level cafe racer to a commuter level dirt bike. The capability of transforming everything into a useful sub section has made Hero the favourite bike makers of India. Hero has presented a whole new concept of economical off-road biking, keeping most of the dynamics same as before. The new Passion Pro TR is the representative of an economical fun riding concept.
Design & Style
The Passion Pro TR comes with all new stickers, a divided front mudguard, headlight protector and a rugged looking front tire. Rest everything stays the same as the normal Passion Pro. These mild changes easily differentiate the one from its predecessor, proving that it has an identity of its own. The proper off-road essence is not felt from its first sight but that also doesn't mean that the confidence of going over rough roads is not built in the rider. In short, the visual dynamics of the Passion Pro TR welcomes the odd and rough Indian roads.
Engine & Performance
The engine powering the TR is the same which powers all the Hero commuters. The 97.2 cc motor produces 7.7 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 8.04 NM @ 4500 rpm. The 4-speed standard gearbox feels smooth in every ride and the overall dynamics perform in the favour of the newcomer. The increased weight does not affect its performance and the bike feels as good as all other Hero commuters.
Brakes & Suspension
The braking at the front is handled by a 240 mm disc brake whereas the rear gets the usual 130 mm drum braking system. Both the front and back tyre get the off road tyre design with larger tread blocks for better grip. The wheel size being used is 18 inch and the front suspension is the telescopic hydraulic forks. The rear gets a swing arm type shock absorbers which are 5-step adjustable. The overall weight goes up to 119 kg, with 12.80 liters of fuel tank capacity.
Shades & Ex-showroom Price
The Passion Pro TR is available in Electric Blue, Sports Red, Black with Sports Red shade with a price tag of INR 53,500.
