Standout Features Front Disc Brake, Impressive Alloy Wheels, Rear Tyre Hugger, Decent Ground Clearance, Powerful Engine
Should You Buy It? The powerful engine is a good buy, specially with a disc brake for more responsible driving. It feels more expensive in front of other 125cc bikes as this price nearly touches V15.

15 Nov, 2018 11:17 AM

Overview

The 2018 Hero Glamour with a disc brake compliments the recent trends and is one of the most reliable yet powerful bikes for your daily commute. Following the BS-IV norms, the Hero Glamour gets a more powerful 125 cc engine at its heart.  Being economic is one of its powerful traits while offering a better performance is the other. The Hero Glamour competes in the market with the likes of Honda Shine and TVS Phoenix.

The 2018 Hero Glamour is powered by a 124.7 cc, Air-cooled single cylinder, OHC engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 11.4 BHP @ 7500 rpm and an utmost torque of 11 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and has a kerb weight of 127 kgs which makes it easy to handle on the roads. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear wheel gets twin shock absorbers.

The wheelbase of 1262 mm and a ground clearance of 159 mm makes the bike much smoother to handle over the sharp corners. The Hero Glamour 125 gets a 240mm disc brakes at the front while the rear only gets 130mm drum brakes. The semi-digital instrument console offers a well understanding of the numbers. The overall design gives it a bulkier and powerful stance.

Coming to the latest innovations, the addition of i3s, Hero's patented start-stop technology makes it rank amongst the highest economic and reliable bikes of the year. The AHO features also adds to its popularity. Covering 0-60 kmph in just a duration of 6.03 seconds, the Hero Glamour is a good buy. It offers a mileage of 55 kmpl in the city while you can expect something up to 60 kmpl on the highways.  The bike is available in the market in 3 stunning shades- Candy Blazing Red/Black, Black/Sports Red and Black/Techno Blue.
