Bajaj Wind 125

About
The Bajaj Wind 125 is a commuter bike that was designed for everyday use in Indian conditions. It features a 124.6cc single-cylinder engine, which provides sufficient power for city riding. The bike is known for its smooth ride quality, making it comfortable for long commutes. It has a top speed of around 100 kmph, which is adequate for urban and suburban use. The bikes design is straightforward and functional, with an emphasis on practicality rather than aesthetics. While it may not excel in performance or features, its reliability and fuel efficiency make it a solid choice for those seeking a no-frills commuter bike. However, potential buyers should be aware of the engine heating issues and inconsistent performance reported by some users.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Bajaj Wind 125, although an older model, still holds its ground in certain aspects. The ride quality is notably smooth, making it comfortable for daily commuting. However, the performance can be inconsistent, with some users reporting good pickup on some days but not others. A significant concern is the engine heating issue, which could be a maintenance headache. Despite these flaws, the bike has shown durability, with some owners using it trouble-free for over a decade. If youre looking for a budget-friendly, reliable commuter bike and are willing to overlook some of its shortcomings, the Bajaj Wind 125 could be a viable option.
Price
The Bajaj Wind 125 is no longer in production, which means you would need to look into the used bike market for pricing. Typically, the ex-showroom price of the Bajaj Wind 125 when it was available was around 50,000 to 60,000. However, in the used market, prices can vary widely depending on the condition, mileage, and location of the bike. You can expect to pay anywhere from 20,000 to 40,000 for a well-maintained model. On-road costs, including registration and insurance, would have added another 10,000 to 20,000 when the bike was new, but these costs are now irrelevant as its a used purchase. When buying used, ensure to inspect the bike thoroughly and negotiate based on its condition.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 04:51 AM The mileage of the Bajaj Wind 125 is a mixed bag. In city conditions, you can expect around 45-50 kmpl, which is decent for a commuter bike. However, some users have reported lower averages, especially in hilly terrains where it can drop to around 37 kmpl. Overall, its a fuel-efficient bike, but actual mileage will depend on driving conditions and maintenance.

Bajaj Wind 125

This bike was a true user friendly bike and was the last of the Kawasaki-Bajaj venture. I am using this model since 2011 and still it is running without any troubles with a average mileage of 37 kms in a hilly terrain of himachal and north east India. However, I must say bajaj is a worst company. They sell products but dint give any after sales service. Most service centers of bajaj dont have competant mechanics to handle bikes which are 5/10 years old. There is no supply of genuine spares now days and only things you can get is compatible one. So if major snags develop I feel there is no other way to scrap it. Although I decided I will keep this as a memento, as this was one companion which was with me during my struggling years!I am deeply grateful to wind 125 which has given me some beautiful memories of my life!

Best Features: Brake, light, 5 speed gear

Pros: Low cost, stardy and extremely rider friendly

Cons: Worst bajaj after sales service. As its the last venture of Kawasaki and Bajaj, they simply dont have any spares like bearings.
