Quick Review by Maxabout Team
The best Indian made cruiser of all time, Bajaj Avenger is all ready to have its new update for the festive season. The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise, as the variant has been named is more about the face lifted version of the currently selling 220 cc motorcycle. The bike gets the same imposing low stance being offered by the Avenger 220 with a host of additions to its overall looks.
Design & Style
The Avenger 220 Cruise gets all new graphic elements around its body panels. Use of Chrome has been further enhanced for a more premium look. The new exhaust design is purely chrome dipped and looks perfect on the bike. The indicators, suspension, grab rails and the tank design are the major attractions of the Avenger 220 Cruise. The spoke wheel approach further adds to the classy look of the bike.
Instrument Console
The Avenger 220 Cruise retains its instrument console from the earlier generation of the motorcycle series. The divided console has a speedometer and digital odometer on the handlebar assemble and fuel gauge on the chrome covered fuel tank section.
Engine & Gearbox
The engine on the 220 cruise stays the same 218.7 cc oil cooled motor producing 19 BHP @ 8400 rpm and 17.5 NM @ 7000 rpm. The gearbox stays 5-speed and a power bump can be expected till the exact date of announcement of the motorcycle.
Brakes & Suspension
The braking on the front is managed by a 260 mm disc brake whereas the rear gets a drum brake only. The front suspension is telescopic forks whereas the rear uses traditional hydraulic shock absorbers at both the sides.
Comfort & Safety
Comfort of the rider is enhanced by the low seat height and perfectly placed handlebar for relaxed riding. The pillion gets a rear backrest, further enhancing he comfort as well as keeping the pillion safe in case of sudden acceleration. The windshield at the front saves the riders from wind blasts.
