Yamaha YZF-R25 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
The YZF-R25 supersport motorcycle is powered by a twin-cylinder engine made by Yamaha. It receives a fierce and angular design that is modelled after its larger Yamaha R6 sibling.
The new Yamaha R25 is available in three different paint schemes. Its design is inspired by the R series' larger supersport sibling. A dual-LED headlight setup, a tall visor, and an air intake duct give it an aggressive front-end appearance. It gets a muscular fuel tank as well as clean-looking side farings with R25 decals. Its design is impressive, and it appears to be high-end.
The Yamaha YZF-R25 is powered by a 249cc 4-stroke 2-cylinder engine. Its liquid-cooled DOHC engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. At 12,000 RPM, it produces 35.5 HP of max power and 22.6 Nm of peak torque. The Yamaha R25's high-revving engine delivers exceptional top-end performance. It has a top speed of around 173 km/h and a fuel efficiency of nearly 37 km/l on average.
It is built around a diamond-shaped frame that is both lightweight and agile. The Yamaha YZF-braking R25's system consists of a 298 mm 2-piston calliper disc brake at the front wheel and a single 220 mm disc brake at the rear. It also includes a dual-channel ABS system as standard. The suspension duties are handled by an inverted front fork and swingarm-linked rear mono cross suspension. The stylish 5-spoke cast alloy wheels on the Yamaha YZF-R25 complement the overall design of the bike. It has radial tyres, which improve handling and provide superior grip both on the road and on race tracks. It has 110/70-17 front tyres and 140/70-17 rear tyres.
It has the same digital multi-function instrument cluster as 2023 MT-25. The Yamaha YZF-R25 instrument console is attractive and simple to use. The speedometer, trip metre, tachometer, odometer, and fuel gauge are all displayed on the LCD console. The LCD console displays the engine temperature and a digital clock. Its console also includes a gear position indicator and real-time fuel efficiency.
Certain countries have seen the release of the YamahaYZF-R25 2023 model. This 250cc supersport is primarily sold in markets in Southeast Asia. Besides, given that the Yamaha R3 is already on the market in India, the chances of its 250cc sibling being released appear remote. There are currently no plans to launch the Yamaha YZF-R25 in India.

Questions and Answers
Is Yamaha YZF-R25 good for long distance?
Definitely yes, Yamaha YZF-R25 has a more neutral position compared to a Ninja or a 600cc sportsbike, so comfort won't be an issue for extended rides covering long distances. The bike itself has no problems in performance- the engine is a gem. Although it may lack in top speed.
Why Yamaha YZF-R25 seems to be over-priced in comparison to other bikes available in its segment?
I think Yamaha engines are more clear and sharper as compared to others and one most important thing is that the company is very laborious to work and develop good results to each of any parts of company's all products.
Why Yamaha YZF-R25 seems to be over-priced in comparison to other bikes available in its segment?
Why Yamaha YZF-R25 seems to be over-priced in comparison to other bikes available in its segment?
The Yamaha R-25 is a twin cylinder bike which produces much more power than the rivals in the segment. The only reason for its high cost is the quality of materials used for the bike and its performance really justifies its cost.
How tall should I be to ride Yamaha YZF-R25 or YZF-R3?
5 feet 8 inch is an ideal height to ride Yamaha YZF-R25 and YZF-R3. Both these bikes have a seat height of 780mm, length of 2090mm, width of 720mm, height of 1135mm as its dimensions along with a kerb weight of 166 kg.

R25 will be a combined package for performance seekers nd hardcore bikers

this is the best 250 cc twin cylinder bike u can opt for!!!
if u want a single cylinder .. hero hx is urs!!!
250cc twin cylinder--- R25 rules the segment...!!
250cc single cylinder---- Hx is the boss!!!
u can opt. for either of these..!! goooo yamaha...!!! only hx on ur way!!
Superb bike. I'm waiting for Yamaha Yzf-R25.
This bike is looking more or less same as Cbr 250R.. they must have been copied the prototype of cbr expect the delta box style at the rear end..that is appreciable. though i still recommend for the riders to choose cbr 250 for the comfort and mileage bike and ninja for comfort and performance. but this bike.. its too costly and not affordable for the 250cc dream bikers. and this bikes performance is little danger for city rides. so if i had to choose the best 250cc bike, i would consider cbr 250 as i know about it very much, it is best and affordable for the riders those who are not able to buy ninja 250. Think well before you buy any bikes.. :)
I would buy this if the price was between 80K and 100K. Lol...
When launch
New kawasaki 250sl is best for yamaha 250cc......kawasaki new ninja 250cc price.1.90lac and performance is very good I like new 2014 kawasaki sl250cc
There will be an era wen Indians will ride quarter liter powerful bikes like R25 and Hero HX250R.
Both the bike is fabulous. one with twin cylinders another with single and they will rule the market based on price and power Gud Luck.
bad luck starts for all 250 n 200cc bikes.
Hi friends I'm going to die for this bike.....hope.. lunch soon in NEPAL too...
The Original Picture Revealed
Am sure dis will have a huge demand
if it priced 250k +
thn better to go for ktm RC 200 or 390 !!
What we have is not cbr its vfr.. Don't compare r25 with cbr . R25 is top notch true sports bike inspired my yamaha s moto gp yzr m1. Ninja 300 is upgraded category with highly expensive components that could never be compared with any bike except for rc390 . R25 is will be slightly better performer than outgoing ninja 250 and 2 places behind mighty rc390 & ninja 300. Cbr can never be matched with r25 which extremely a top performance sports bike.
In India its gonna come with single cylinder. :-) to make the bike more affordable.
wow Just noticed 35bhp out of R25..awesome competitor for 200/250/300cc category. shuld be king of 250cc bike, Yamaha u proved u r great and the wait was worth..
This bike is going to be an epic...!
yamaha R25 looks great and it is for sure gonna break all the records even if it is getting launched lately, yamaha always does that and same like R15... Maximum power that can be produced from a 250cc twin cylinder is 45bhp..Yes its 45bhp you heard that, But Ninja250 did only 32bhp. And if R25 gets more power beyond that, also keeping some mileage considerations n price, then it would be an epic epic bike under 250 category.. Even it would be a good competitor to Ninja300 and Duke390...Not considering CBR250/300 they are less powered...its different in its category, not to compete with other bikes...
thanks to yamaha twin cylinder ,entering to powerful engins in 250-300 cc
i am sure the fuel economy is very poor,,,,bcozz the high power produce machine,,,not looks great in front of ninja 300 and cbr 250r
