Overview
Yamaha India is on a launching Spree, they dont want to repeat any mistakes done before the launch of R15 in India. After the success of R15, FZ16, FZ-S & Fazer Yamaha India has now come up with limited edition variant of FZ16.
New Limited Edition FZ16 is similar in term of engine and technology - the only change is that it comes in all new diamond white shade with combination of blue. It is available with white finish alloy wheels.
On 16th September along with FZ16 Limited Edition Yamaha also launched 2 more limited edition variants of FZ Series and V-Max Superbike:
- Fazer Limited Edition
- FZS Limited Edition
- Yamaha V-Max
Yamaha's Intention is to make the customers feel exclusive and special while creating a pride of ownership in them. Only 3,000 units of White color Limited edition FZ16, FZ-S and Fazer models will be produced and has been priced at Rs. 66,500,Rs. 68,500 and Rs. 73,500 respectively (Ex-Showroom New Delhi).
Design & Style

Engine & Features
FZ16 Limited Edition is powered by a 153cc, air cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC engine which generates maximum power of 14 Bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 13.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. The 153cc engine of this bike is designed for the urban commute. The broad tyres, low center of gravity and high torque at low rpm makes it a breeze to drive in city traffic.
The bike covers the world standard 0-60 kmph sprint in just 5.5 seconds. The mid range thrust and the highly tuned throttle response are designed to give you the feel of a ultra-powerful bike in the urban ride. The meters on the FZ16 Limited Edition are installed in a Full Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and other indicators are set in optimum position to keep the field of vision clear. Also, the engine starting signal is an example of the spirit of innovation.
The steel fuel tank with a plastic resin outer cover takes advantage of the freedom of shaping that plastic provides, giving the tank cover a powerful shape with modulations suggestive of the muscular body of an athlete. To give a sense of volume to the machine, an external diameter of 35mm is adopted in a two-layer type exhaust to minimize the effect of heat on the pipe.
The layout features a large-volume primary character on the underside of the crankcase. The muffler is an irregular shaped tapered type mid-ship muffler. A Monocross rear suspension unit provides 120 mm of wheel travel, while optimized oil and damping valve specs help ensure agile running performance and handling. It inhibits bottoming while riding with a tandem passenger as well as providing a very comfortable ride.
The petrol tank, silensor, the yellow-gold plated rear shock absorber and fat tyres give enough clues to the true strength of the Yamaha FZ16 Limited Edition motorcycle - torque that is a bit higher than the 160 Apache RTR and tuned for acceleration and mid-range than outright top speed.
