Tata Curvv Unveils New Orange Color Option – Available with Petrol and Diesel Engine

Tata Motors, after making a mark in the sub-4-meter SUV segment with models like the Nexon and Punch, is gearing up to step into the compact SUV arena with its latest offering, the Curvv SUV. There are several competitive models in this market including the Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun. The Tata Curvv is anticipated to hit the market later this year, and ahead of its launch, Tata has unveiled some images of the production-ready model.

Front Fascia of Tata Curvv

The production version of the Curvv has been revealed in a striking bright orange color at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, complementing the SUV's sporty profile. The front fascia of the Curvv follows the same design language as seen in the facelift versions of the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. Features such as the grille and surface detailing, headlamp and fog lamp housings, and the full-width LED light bar resemble those of the Harrier. Other elements like the sequential turn signals and lower bumper section closely match those of the Nexon.

Side and Rear Profile of Tata Curvv

The side profile of the Curvv exhibits a more distinctive persona compared to the front fascia, drawing inspiration from other Tata cars. The sheet metal bends are sharper and follow straight lines throughout. The SUV boasts squared wheel arches and thick body cladding giving it a more prominent stance than even the Nexon. The pincer-styled dual-tone machined alloy wheels greatly enhance the SUV's visual appeal and are likely to be offered with the top-spec trims of the Curvv. Another noticeable feature is the chrome outline on the windows. The Curvv has flush-type door handles, a first for a Tata car which contributes to the SUV's sleek and polished appearance. The side profile also reveals the Curvv's high ground clearance which appears to be even higher than that of the Nexon and Harrier. It is speculated that the Curvv could come equipped with 18-inch wheels explaining the tall profile of the SUV. Moving towards the rear, the Curvv sports a sloping roofline that seamlessly merges with the boot section. The overall look and feel at the rear are similar to that of the front fascia, with highlights including a full-width LED light bar, edgy tail lamps, a prominent bumper, and a split aero rear spoiler.

Can the Curvv Challenge the Creta and Seltos?

In addition to having visually pleasing characteristics Curvv's segment-first coupe appearance may work to its benefit, especially for customers who like this body type. While the Curvv could have opted for an entirely new front fascia, Tata seems to have chosen to stick with the existing design language. To help set it apart from competitors like the Creta and Seltos the Curvv's side and rear profiles are particularly noteworthy as distinctive selling offerings. Consumer decisions will also hinge on the Curvv's equipment list. With models like the new Nexon, Harrier, and Safari Tata has been providing a wide array of high-end and technological facilities; the Curvv may get extra features to increase its allure. Engine options for the Curvv will be borrowed from the Nexon, including a 1.2-liter turbo petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel. To meet the increased demand for electric vehicles the Curvv will also be offered in an electric model.
