Nissan Magnite Recall Announced in India

Nissan has initiated a voluntary recall specifically for its Magnite sub-four-meter SUV in India, aimed at retrofitting the front door handle sensors. This recall affects all Magnite units produced between November 2020 and December 2023 particularly targeting the entry-level XE and mid-spec XL variants. Nissan plans to contact affected vehicle owners starting in April.

Impact on Vehicle Use

Nissan assures that the recall does not compromise the vehicle's drivability allowing customers to continue using their cars normally. The necessary replacements of the new sensors will be conducted at authorized Nissan service centers without any cost to the vehicle owners.

The Nissan Magnite is available in four variants: XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium. This model competes directly with the likes of Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon. Engine options for the Magnite include a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and a turbo-petrol engine, which are paired with choices of a five-speed manual transmission, AMT, or a CVT.
