Nissan Magnite Facelift Seen Testing for the First Time

To increase its manufacturing presence in India Nissan is taking significant steps. With a significant investment in the company's future Nissan is gearing up to launch several new vehicles. Among these, the Nissan Magnite Facelift stands out as the first to hit the roads, as indicated by recent spy shots.

The company aims to replicate the success of the Magnite in 2024 with an updated model. While the Magnite played a crucial role in sustaining Nissan India's manufacturing operations the facelifted version is set to elevate product positioning and expand sales opportunities.

Being India's most reasonably priced sub-4 million SUV, the Magnite has garnered appreciation. Notably, it stands out for its competitive pricing, impressive safety rating (4-star GNCAP), attractive design, and feature-packed offering. These strengths will carry over to the facelifted model ensuring the Magnite's continued appeal.

The latest test mule was spotted in Chennai and shared by Weguide.auto. Despite being heavily camouflaged, the distinctive silhouette of the Magnite remains recognizable. Integrated roof spoiler evoking the Lamborghini Aventador and a sturdy C-pillar design are notable characteristics.

While the spy shots primarily showcase the profile and rear section, they reveal few visible changes. However, there are some notable updates including redesigned alloy wheels, likely 16 inches with 195-section tires.

Interiors, Specifications, and Powertrains

Personally, I prefer the design of the current Magnite alloy wheels over the new ones. Furthermore, we noticed newly installed tail lights which may now contain LEDs. Another positive update from the present model is the addition of a shark-fin antenna.

Interior details are not visible in the images, but a white dashboard suggests that this may not be the top-spec variant. Anticipated improvements of the Nissan Magnite Facelift include ventilated seats, cornering light functionality, auto-dimming IRVM, better fit and finish, and better inside materials.

Although not typically popular in the Indian market, there might be a single-pane sunroof. The Magnite already boasts an impressive array of features at a competitive price point, including an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a TFT instrument screen, auto climate control, push-button start, keyless entry, front and rear armrests, rear AC vents, Nissan Connect telematics, LED projector headlights, LED fog lights, LED turn indicators (front), and more.

In terms of powertrain, no significant changes are expected. The same 1.0L 3-cylinder engine will continue to power the vehicle, available in naturally aspirated (71 bhp, 96 Nm, 5MT, 5AMT) and turbocharged variants (99 bhp, 160 Nm, 5MT, CVT).
