USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Zest XE is a significant leap forward for Tata Motors, showcasing a marked improvement in build quality, features, and overall driving experience. The car stands out with its advanced Harman touchscreen infotainment system, which includes voice recognition and other modern amenities. Despite being in the lower trim, the Zest XE still offers a refined 1.2-liter petrol engine that performs admirably, especially on inclines. The balanced suspension provides a compliant ride quality, and the handling is neutral and stable. However, the lack of certain features like airbags in the base variant is a notable omission. Overall, the Zest XE is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and feature-packed sedan in its segment.
Price
The Tata Zest XE Petrol is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant is around Rs. 5.82 lakh. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other taxes, the price can go up to approximately Rs. 6.7 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the Zest XE an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers who still want a well-equipped and reliable sedan.

Best automatic diesel car under 10 lakhs that's loaded with necessary features

helpful 13

One advice to all the people stop judging the car just because its TATA. It's got a proven engine that was used in Swift untill last year. Yes, I am talking abt the 90ps fiat engine. It's got the same manufacturer for the AMT that Maruti Celerio has. Best in class features. I have read lot of blogs including team bhp and checked with my friends for Zest's after sales service and I haven't seen any negative feedback. Servicing required @15000 km and is not that expensive approx 4-5k. They have got good colors but I would expect them to launch it in black. I would definitely recommend you to go for a Test Drive.

Best Features: Infotainment by Harman, high adjustable seats, good boot space, reverse sensor, climate control

Pros: An automatic car that comes with abs, ebd and airbags which is usually removed by other manufacturers to reduce price. Infotainment by Harman. Touchscreen

Cons: No dead pedal, Reverse camera not available by default. Design lacks a little more style if you compare with Ford Aspire

To make sure that there are no unexpected maintenance costs, take an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) and an Extended Warranty with Tata Motors. The dealer should be able to help you out with this.

this is going to be the next best selling car in India for TATA and most value for money car, only concern is how it fares on maintenance and after sales service...
