Tata Zest Premio Edition

About
The Tata Zest Premio Edition is a special variant of the Tata Zest compact sedan, launched to add a fresh appeal to the lineup. It comes with a dual-tone roof in a glossy black shade and piano black finished mirrors, giving it a distinctive look. Inside, it features a touchscreen infotainment system with phone-based navigation, which is a significant upgrade over the standard XMS variant. The car is powered by a reliable 1.3-litre BS IV Quadrajet turbodiesel engine producing 75PS of power, or a turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 90PS. USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Zest Premio Edition is a compelling package in the compact sedan segment, offering a blend of features, comfort, and performance. While it may not stand out in terms of exterior design, its interior is well-equipped with amenities like a touchscreen infotainment system with phone-based navigation, projector headlamps, and a stellar 8-speaker audio system. The car boasts refined petrol and torquey diesel engines, with the diesel-automatic combo being particularly noteworthy, although it lacks a creep mode. The spacious cabin, ample legroom, and healthy boot space of 390 litres are significant positives. However, the use of hard plastics inside the cabin and the lack of storage spaces are drawbacks. Overall, it is a value-for-money offering that ticks all the essentials of a well-rounded compact sedan.
Price
The Tata Zest Premio Edition is priced competitively in the Indian market. With an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.53 lakh in Delhi, it slots in between the XMS and XT variants. When considering on-road prices, you can expect to add around Rs 1-1.5 lakh depending on the state and local taxes, bringing the total to approximately Rs 8.5-9 lakh. This pricing makes it an attractive option for those seeking a feature-rich compact sedan without breaking the bank. The value proposition is further enhanced by the various offers and discounts that Tata Motors occasionally rolls out, which can add significant savings.

Best automatic diesel car under 10 lakhs that's loaded with necessary features

Benson Philip | 6 years ago
helpful 13

One advice to all the people stop judging the car just because its TATA. It's got a proven engine that was used in Swift untill last year. Yes, I am talking abt the 90ps fiat engine. It's got the same manufacturer for the AMT that Maruti Celerio has. Best in class features. I have read lot of blogs including team bhp and checked with my friends for Zest's after sales service and I haven't seen any negative feedback. Servicing required @15000 km and is not that expensive approx 4-5k. They have got good colors but I would expect them to launch it in black. I would definitely recommend you to go for a Test Drive.

Best Features: Infotainment by Harman, high adjustable seats, good boot space, reverse sensor, climate control

Pros: An automatic car that comes with abs, ebd and airbags which is usually removed by other manufacturers to reduce price. Infotainment by Harman. Touchscreen

Cons: No dead pedal, Reverse camera not available by default. Design lacks a little more style if you compare with Ford Aspire
